The next attraction to go: MGM Sounds dangerous

My family has always really liked Sounds Dangerous. It's a cool place to take a break and we love playing all the games in the little game lobby you pass through the exit. I like the whole experience through the head phones.

As far as WWTBAM leaving, I'm really sad because I liked it and never had my chance to be in the hot seat!

The worst part is why are they squarting water at me. We go to Disney alot and I love all of it, or so I thought untill the last trip in may we did sounds Dangerous. Wow it was so badddddddddddddddddddddddd.:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

I wasn't big enough to drive on Indy back in '77. Was soo jealous that DS got to go on it. I also miss the gondolas (can't remember specific name) and 20,000 Leagues. I guess I am just a classics fan.

I saw get rid of Tiki Birds......

...get rid of Tiki Birds......

You now have 30 seconds to justify those two statements...

GO!

:goodvibes

Sounds Dangerous is ridiculous - a joke!! I wish wish wish they would bring back Super Star Theater and the Monster Sound Show. I loved the interactive part because each show was different. I actually was in the Monster Sound Show making thunder noises.

The others I would like to see go are Stitch, Journey into Your Imagination (bring back the original!), and the new Tiki birds (bring back the original).

New hear, but had to add my two cents.

Stitch has definitely gotta go. My ds(6) and I thought it was a *ride*. He was so scared. No wonder we didn't need a FastPass. Truly a dissapointment.

As another poster said, an Incredibles ride sounds like a great idea.

i have never been to see "sounds dangerous" it doesnt take my fancy. we went on stitch's ride that was disgusting i hate it, in the dark, these stupids bars pushing down on your shoulders, hate it the smells STUPID NOT FUN

Our kids loved the raceway :)
But we all agreed Stitch was horrible and definitely not worth the 20 minute wait!!

Yeah, Sounds Dangerous really didn't do much for the DH and I, but it was a good rest place in the heat ;) Something with the Incredibles would be pretty cool. We haven't been on Stitch yet, I didn't like it when it was Alien Encounter, and I've heard it isn't too much different from that, so no thanks. And I agree, Indy Raceway is a classic.

I think Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous (at MGM) should be the next attraction to go. We saw it during our last trip and it was horrible. I think that I had a panic attack during the 5 minutes of total darkness. What a waste of time! What do you think?
That and Stitch's Great Escape! We like Stitch but after four successful movies and a continuing series you'd think they would do something nice for stitch.

Just to clear up rumors, the Incredibles ride is going into Japan (Tokyo Disney) not WDW, Midway Madness is going in where Millionaire used to be.

Also, after Millionaire, unfortunately, CoP is going to be taken out. At this moment they're trying to find something to put in that space. And Indy Speedway is incredibly popular with kids, so they won't be closing that ride for a long long time.

With this said, as much as I hate Sounds Dangerous, I agree that Stitch SHOULD be the next ride to go. In fact, I'd rather have nothing in that space (like the ABC Soundstage) than that horrible attraction... At least SOunds Dangerous is 12 minutes of air conditioned quiet in pitch black (if you don't wear the headphones).

And to the person who inquired about why they squirt water at you... ... It's hot in Florida. Most people enjoy getting wet in attractions... ... ...

Is there a link to this information on the web?

It has not been made official yet. But, they made Wonders of Life, Timekeeper, and CoP "seasonal" one after another, because they were looking to replace them. At this time, the Imagineers are trying to figure out what they could possibly do with CoP after they close it down...they're only keeping it open now for fans and historians, but they would rather have something in that space where the crowds are worth keeping it running.

Jim Hill has an article on his website that talk about the petition to save the CoP.

Yes, that certainly does "clear up" the RUMORS!

:rotfl2:

Actually, that's not what I wrote.

"Just to clear up rumors, the Incredibles ride is going into Japan (Tokyo Disney) not WDW, Midway Madness is going in where Millionaire used to be. " That is what I wrote. Don't slander me.

I've never ridden Sounds Dangerous but the Incredibles would be a great replacement! Maybe it's just me but Sounds Dangerous doesn't really fit Disney World I know MGM is a studios but still I'd rather see them put in a Disney original! I really like the idea of changing the Indy speedway to Cars that would be really cute! I don't know why but every time we go we have to ride Indy even though the wait's long and there's not a whole lot to it. I guess it's just a classic and being able to drive around and see Space Mountain appeals to us! I'm interested to see what Who Wants To Be A Millionair becomes also! I want to hear more about Midway Madness!

Well if they nuke Sounds Dangerous, I wish they would put the same Monsters Inc. ride they have at California Adventure. What a great ride, the door scene alone is worth the price of admission.

...I like THAT idea.... :thumbsup2 !

It would be LIBEL, not SLANDER.

But it was simply a JOKE, regardless.

And if posting...

...is not further grist for the rumor mill, then what would YOU call it?

:lmao:

I actually like Sounds Dangerous (when the headphones are working) but I think it should've gone before Millionaire did. :sad1:

I also want Honey I Shrunk the Audience gone. How old is that movie?? I remember the last time I went on it (probably our 2004 trip) and a mom explaining the movie to her two kids who had never seen it.

I've also heard the CoP rumor for years so I don't know if it'll always be a rumor or something that actually happens. It used to never be open when we went during the slow season but it was open the last two times we were there.

I've always assumed it WILL actually HAPPEN (hey, they closed it at Disneyland in 1973!!).

But its been discussed as "the next to close at WDW" for at least a decade.

That's why I laughed when I saw this latest posting of its eminent demise.

It COULD happen any time... I'll be sad when it does.
