at my school, periods are 42 minutes long, with 3 minutes to get to class in between. we have this six day cycle that goes by letters (A, B, C, D, E, and F). most people just follow it by ACE and BDF, meaning that those classes alternate every other day. most classes are year-long, except electives, study hall, and lunch for some people.
typical day:
mom comes in at around 5:45. i don't actually get out of bed till around 6.
my bus comes at 6:40, and my bus gets to school between 7 and 7:05 (which is the warning bell...when i get in at 7:05 i'm usually super late

first period: spanish (7:10 - 7:51)
second period: algebra (7:55 - 8:36)
third period: study hall (8:40 - 9:21)
homeroom: your homeroom is your third period classroom (9:21 - 9:31)
fourth period: gym (9:35 - 10:16)
fifth period: living environment (10:20 - 11:01)
sixth period: right now it's study hall, but next quarter i start a cinema history and criticism class (11:05 - 11:46)
seventh period: lunch (11:50 - 12:31)
eighth period: global history (12:35 - 1:16)
ninth period: english (1:20 - 2:01)
i'm on the bus by 2:05, and home by 2:30.
