One interesting tale about Merlin was that he was believed to have been responsible for transporting the large stones of 'Stonehenge' from their original location in Ireland to their current position in England. The stones called the 'Giant's Dance' were thought to be brought to England from Ireland primarily to be a tribute to those who had died in wars and also because the stones were thought to possess healing capabilities.
