Awww Adi, those pictures are precious! That dress is too cute! I wish I was talented enough to make clothes for Jake...but I don't have the talent NOR the patience

Adi she is sooo cute! I totally love the dress, too!!

I am not crafty at all, so that is amazing to me!!!!!!!

... did anyone else on here decide to make their own baby food?
I haven't done a fruit yet but so far I've been successful on my veggies. He seems to prefer what I make to the jarred stuff. He LOVES the peas I made.

Adi!! She is a doll! I love the dress.:thumbsup2 I love sewing for my kiddos! My older dd LOVES when I make matching stuff for her and Jazzy. I am working on a bunch of stuff for our trip to WDW so the kids all have matching clothes.

Adi she is so beautiful.

Did any one watch Extreme Makeover last night? They were about 15 minutes from my house and the hospital they showed is where I work. I tried to get DH to volunteer but they didn't need him :thumbsup2

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

My friend had her triplets last night. They were born at 25 weeks and 5 days. The biggest is 2lbs 2oz, the smallest is 1lb 15 oz.. So far, so good, but it is going to be a long road for them. If you can spare any good thoughts for them, I know they would appreciate it.

I have been making my own. She likes everything except for bananas. I even bought jar bananas and she still didn't like them. I also bought jar green beans since mine came out gritty bc of the skins. She liked mine better than the jar. It is So worth it I think.
Are you freezing some?

Absolutely! While I hate being hugely pregnant and past my due date, I have always been very thankful that none of my babies had to come so early either. A good friend of mine had triplets three years ago at about the same gestational age and about the same weights. They are all three healthy, happy, and very lively pre-schoolers now.

All good wishes and thoughts for your friends' family. When and if she is ready to look for information & support, I've been a member of Yahoo groups' Preemie-List link here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/preemie-list/ for over 6 years-- good people there that understand the rabbit hole that she's just found herself falling down.

On the bright side, they are good sizes for their gestational age, hoping all goes well for her wee ones. And, course if there's any thing I can answer, or try to, I'd be happy to, as a 2 times NICU veteran mom.

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

Lily started teething, and she's a completely different baby! She's so fussy and cranky all the time. I started giving her frozen washcloths, which helps for a bit. I also noticed that if I constantly play with her and make her laugh, she forgets about it. But how can anyone constantly entertain a 4 month old? I'm going nuts.

I think it's so funny you are all talking about having more babies--I'm trying to decide just how bad it really is to be an only child. lol

Aww, really? I can't imagine not having another one now. Even the fussy days don't bother me so much anymore.

Fingers crossed for the triplets.

And yes, I freeze what I make. Kroger has .88c veggies right now so I've been buying, steaming, pureeing, putting in Ball plastic freezer jars and freezing.

And she really is a GREAT baby. Sometimes I wonder if I was really meant to be a mom. All the things I was afraid I would hate--I do.

I'm a very independent person, who seriously needs her alone time. I don't see getting it...

I've felt like that before. I told you a little bit when we chatted that night before you went in to have Lily!

I think we're allowed to feel that way, this is our first. And everyone tells me this is the best time but I don't see it. So I'm telling myself that it's absolutely NOT the best... the best is when they tell you they love you. When they light up at the site of Mickey at WDW! When they give you a hug or a kiss. Thats the stuff I'm waiting on.
I realize it comes with a whole new set of challenges but I'm holding out for that. Sometimes I think "Do I really want another" but I loved my brother so much I can't imagine not giving that to Lucas. So one more.

If you ever wanna chat I'm almost always on or around.
I don't think the alone time will get better. Or at least.. not until they're in school!!

And that's when they call you from the cell phone you swore you would never buy for them, but did because middle school is a scary place and you wanted them to be able to reach you whenever they needed; and tell you not to pick them up from school because they have a drama club meeting to go to and a volleyball game after that and then they will be doing homework at so and so's house (and that's OK because you know so and so's family) and that they will call you when they are ready to come home. And then you know you are done climbing up the ladder and have started down that slide that ends with an 18th birthday and a high school graduation. And then you really miss that clingy baby-even if you recently had another one.

(I hope that made sense, I'm having a lot of trouble coping with my oldest "baby" doing all the things she is supposed to do at her age. I really didn't think it would go this fast. :sad1:)

I LOVE having older kiddos. It makes me appreciate that the babies cant talk yet. :scared1::lmao::lmao:KIDDING! On Thanksgiving I asked my older kids what they were thankful for.. Alex said he was thankful for the babies.. Because he loves them SO MUCH. Kaylee said she was thankful that she loved me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. :goodvibes:love: AWWWW! She is only four, so not everything she says makes sense.. But I am thankful that she loves me so much too!

It really is nice when they can entertain themselves.. Or tell you what is wrong. and NOTHING is better then when they see you.. come running up t you... and give you giant hugs and tell you how much they love you! Makes EVERYTHING worthwhile!

I went to Disneyland with some friends right before I got pg with the twins.. My mom brought Alex and Kaylee to the airport to pick me up. I was coming down the escalator, and they were at the bottom waiting for me.. As soon as they saw me coming, they both started jumping up and down, screaming their little heads off. SO EXCITED to see me! Everyone around us was looking on.. and smiling. It was beautiful!! And totally the BEST part of my trip! Its the thing I am most looking forward to on my trip in February.. Stepping off that escalator and having all four coming at me like that!! :love:Kids are awesome!

On another note.. we had a HUGE tragedy in our town Sunday. I dont know if you guys have seen the news about the four officers that were killed in a coffee shop while they were getting ready for their shift.. It happened right around the corner from our house, and we dont live in a big city. So this has wiped out 15% of our police force. Its just been devastating for our whole community. They are having a prayer service at the local YMCA, and we are planning on taking the kids.

They didnt tell what department they were from until they had notified the families.. and When they said that they were Lakewood PD, I about fell over. We dont live in the safest neighborhood, but things like this just dont happen around here. Then when they released the names and pictures.. ugh.. I see these people everyday, you know?

Anyways.. I know this has nothing to do with the babies, but I am just heartbroken for these families, and our police department. With everything going on, I had a hard time keeping it together today. We got a call from the school letting us know they had added security.. and extra counselors on hand.. :sad1:

It's too funny that i posted that yesterday. Lily was an absolute ANGEL today. I got the entire house cleaned and got to play my video game too. lol She did a lot of sleeping and was also happy playing by herself (with me sitting next to her of course).

It was a great day! Hopefully she'll be in the same mood for my aunt tomorrow!

Go Lily!

..and maybe I'm totally selfish but I would rather have the angel days for myself! :rotfl: I cross my fingers that he gets his rotten-ness out when SIL has him. :flower3:

lol ITA, but just for my Aunts first day, it would be nice not to worry. She was crying when I left though. :sad1: (Lily, not my Aunt ;))

Random question...

The last few weeks when I go to lay down in bed my abdominal area will sometimes get really tight and I'll burp a lot (haha) ... I'm talking like 45 times an hour for a few hours. Sometimes the tightness in my belly will hurt, other times it's just like a burp fest.
I know I need to call a doctor but I'm not sure which one. Anyone else with a c-section have anything like this happen??
I figure it's more related to my gallbladder. especially since they pump that gas in there!.. but I'm still a little iffy on who to call. PCP, surgeon, OB...

I know it sounds strange but I was just curious. :)
