Don't forget to plan on renting wheelchairs, too! Then, you don't have to worry about swapping.

Just popped in to make sure I didn't get too far behind on my reading. Looks like a slow day though.

The basketball/cheerleading marathon is over for today. DH went to pick up some Chinese and we are going to settle in for the night. Light a fire, that kind of thing. Hope there's something good on the tube, I feel like veggin'.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods everyone? How about a weather roll call? Cold and rainy in KY. But we might get some freezing rain later, variety is the spice of life!

Weather here? Cold and a bit snowy. I haven't ventured out today at all.

And it appears that I will not be sailing on the Norwegian Sky in June. I'll be sailing somewhere on a cruise ship but we dunno yet. The Norwegian Sky was due to be refitted and reflagged by Norwegian Cruise Line as a US ship called Pride of Aloha in the fall to sail around Hawaii, but the revamping is to be sped up a few months. The ship that was to sail this summer, Pride of America, was damaged during construction this week. Oh, well.

To put it simply, our ship is cruising Hawaii in June and not Alaska. Hopefully we'll be put on the Norwegian Star, which sails on June 13.

Back and re-couping from Lasik. Wow what a procedure! I had cloudy vision at first but within a couple of hours I was seeing great. Now my vision is crystal clear. It took about eight minutes total time to correct my vision with the Laser. This has been great.

Hopefully I'll be able to be around a bit more, as I FINALLY finished addressing, stuffing and stamping the wedding invitations!

Now, I have to get to work on my Thank You favor scrolls and place cards. *sigh* Wedding work is never done! LOL!

As for our weather here, it is cold (I hate the cold!) and it is supposed to snow some more tonight.

Hello.. checking in ..

I have made some chocolate chip bars for all and especially the TAG FAIRY

and have a nice cup of Hot chocolate too..

Today I learned... that some people under 15 can't do what others that are MUCH OLDER can...

I worked with the Boy Scouts on a 5 mile hike today.. The weather turned out to be great for a winter hike.. about 30 degrees.. but the trail had been frozen and melted and frozen and melted so they were frozen footprints covered with snow and a thin coat of ice.. made it a more difficult hike..we are starting to work on the hiking merit badge.. we will be doing a 20 mile hike the end of April so we need to start buiding endurance..the badge requires 5 10 mile hikes and then 1 20 mile..so this was out first start.. the scouts picked a trail that was a 6 1/2 mile hike.. which was ok.. we had discussed that our objective was to do a 15 minute mile.. or close to it.. the road conditions slowed us down a bit.. but then there was some Scouts that were laggards and held the group back..

so the trip took us over 3 1/2 hours....... some of the boys just couldn't keep up, liked to wander, dilly dally etc..
Oh well.. guess it will take a LOT more work to get them ready for the hikes...



Oh well tomorrw is another day.. make I will make Mole Pueblano for us .. good night to all..

That sounds great! My DS has terrible vision and when he turns 18, we are giving him the Lasik for his birthday present. He has been in glasses since age 4 and contacts (gas perm) since age 6.

I am glad your Lasik went great and your vision is great!

Our weather here was very warm today. I think it got up to around 70 degrees.

We did not make it to the 1000 posts, today. Maybe tomorrow?

I did something stupid today, I checked the DB again. Someone actually questioned why I chose to have my child . Well, instead of arguing with the person, I responded very sarcastically which made me feel much better.
