When we go to WDW (which we're booking today!) we're flying in on Thanksgiving. First full day is Black Friday. Should I go to Epcot (which we were planning on doing in the evening) while everyone goes shopping, or shall I go with them?

Go with them, go with them! I love black friday, there are so many great deals. And even if you don't find what you came for, it is fun to watch everyone rush around in a frenzy.
