If for some reason the CM who is checking you in doesn't give them to you, just ask before you walk away. Sometimes they forget, and they'll gladly give them to you once they're reminded. And sometimes they run out of them but will have them in again later that day or the next day, and they'll tell you to come back to get some. Personally, I'd rather ask the CM than to walk away feeling disappointed.

And, this is yet another reason why the DIS is so great. In all the years we have stayed at the Poly we have never gotten leis! I figured they were for CL guests or special occasions. And now, I know better. Bob and I will definitely ask for leis later this month if they are not first offered. Thanks!

I have seen them giving leis out to everyone who walks through the door everyday since I've been here. Hopefully they will continue to do so!

Oh how cool is that!! I think that them giving out leis to everyone who comes in just ads to the experience and atmosphere of the hotel. Last year we did not get leis either (I found them a tad bit itchy anyways). Hopefully they will continue giving them out like you said momatater. I hope you have a magical day!!

Hi Everyone,
First of all-thank you for this thread! I've really enjoyed reading about everyone's experiences at the Polynesian. In November my Mom (celebrating her 50th b-day), my sister (26), my daughter (2), and myself will be heading to the Poly for the first time. We are super excited! As this is our first visit we weren't really sure as to whether we should request a room location or not (we will be staying in a standard garden view room). So, anyway, I had to call DIS the other night to confirm some changes to our reservation and the very helpful and nice CM said that the POLY is her favorite resort and we def should request to stay in Tokelau or Tahiti. So she said she went ahead and put the request in. However, when we received the updated confirmation email she had put in a request for Tokelau or Hawaii, which I understand to be only club level rooms?! Is this going to be a problem. Should I call back and ask them to change it? I don't want the CM checking us in to think we're asking for an upgrade or being presumptuous. What do you all think?? Does anyone know of a link to show me room locations. Im going on a land and sea in January and dont know yet where my room will be, but thought that maybe I could request a good location. That brings me to my second question. Does anyone know if Disney Cruiseline puts cruisers in certain rooms in the Poly?

I'd really love to know this too. Our first land and sea is booked for Dec 09 and I'm really curious about the various locations at the Poly. I think I read somewhere that all L&S Resort rooms are standard, but I could be wrong.

We're headed for the Poly in July of '09. How crowed does the pool get? Last year we stayed at Beach Club and the pool there is without a doubt the best on the property. Any thoughts on the Poly Pool?

The pool here at the Poly is great, but I have to say the last few days it has been PACKED!! Enough so that the boys wanted to go over to the quiet pool, which we did and they enjoyed very much.

We are originally from Punxsutawney, the other side of the state. We lived in Gettysburg for a while too. York is a lovely, small "city" I think! We have visited there a number of times and have a couple of other DIS friends who live near there too!
