I agree with you, it can be a good deal for those with an AP. It appears though, the big savings are for those staying deluxe, which would be those of us on this thread! :thumbsup2

I am the only AP holder in the family right now, so the deal works for us. I purchased the PH and WP&F add-ons for the other three and will use mine to renew my AP while I am there. We already had an AAA rate, but we still saved around $870 with the January to June package. :cool1: If we had paid rack, we would have saved $1,890. These two savings are based on the free days for the room--we had no tickets on the original reservation. I'm not sure a room only AP rate will beat the discount. I am not a package fan, but the savings was too good to pass up for a "maybe" on the AP rate. :confused3 Time will tell I guess. . .

In any event, we're doing the  today!

Glad you enjoy the picture for 2008, it's one of our traditions. ;)

I am an annual passholder too, and with the new package I saved enough to stay 8 nights at the Poly instead of a split stay 3 CBR/5 Poly and have it be the same price as the original split stay which was with the AP discount. I'll also use the MYW ticket toward my next annual pass. :woohoo: :woohoo:

We just switched to the Poly (GV) for our February trip.
We'll be there February 10-17.

This 7/4 offer was much better than our AP rate at WL.

I then moved up our summer trip so that we could take advantage
of the 7/4 offer at least for the first week. So now we are at Poly LVC
June 20-27 (ds's birthday is June 23rd!) and BC June 27-July 6.
Robyn, we are toying with booking that week too for the triplet's b'day (for those who don't know, my kiddos and Robyn's DS share a b'day!). Maybe we'll FINALLY get to meet! I'm debating between the Poly and BC for the pools. I'm really torn!

:cool1: We're booked at the Polynesian for early May which is my favorite time of year to go! :sunny: :woohoo: :yay:

Congrats to everyone who just booked yesterday, and WELCOME :welcome: to those of you who are new Polynesian FAQ readers! :surfweb:

Anyone else going to be there between May 2nd and 9th?? :cool2:

Hey SeaSpray!!!!! We'll be there May 1 -8!! I had a package booked with AAA for May 2-8 (staying offsite first night), but I jumped all over this deal and booked a new package. We're getting an additional night at the Poly AND day of dining AND we're saving $577.22!!!!! I am soooo happy!! Our actually savings is over $600 since we won't be paying for an offsite hotel or offsite dinner on the 1st. I talked with my AAA agent today to cancel the 1st package and she had Disney just apply that $200 to the new trip, so now we've got $400 down on it. Income tax return will pay for the rest plus our gas, dining on the trip down and back, and souveniers!!

Maybe we can meet up for a drink in early May!!!!!

We just changed our trip from Oct to May 1st-10th to get in on the deal. We had 2 rooms, so we saved big time :cool1: I'm so excited, now my first trip to the world is only 6 months away. Already called to book Chef Mickey's and CRT for my DD.

It looks like a bunch of you are going that first week in May! Have fun!

:surfweb:
This is a bit off topic. :upsidedow
I have heard that they are no longer selling Pal Mickey.
Is that true? :confused3
And if it is true, will already purchased Pal Mickeys still work in the parks?:confused3
I am bringing a newbie to The World on Nov 17th and I purchased one on Ebay. I'll be disappointed and embarrassed if Pal Mickey has no surprises for her when we get to MK. She has no clue what he is supposed to do and I'm soo looking forward to her reaction when he does his thing.
If anyone knows, Please let me know.
I hope you are all having a magical day.

From what I have read, they are no longer selling Pal Mickey, or will sell the current stock until its gone. If you already have one, they will continue to work.

Here we go, I went and found this on Anita Answer...here's the link. HTH

Have a wonderful trip!!!

Okay you Poly experts. I was toying with the idea of ordering from Garden Grocer. Just some breakfast stuff, fresh fruit like apples and bananas, bottled water and then some beer.

When we were last there I packed a suitcase with snacks and water and so forth (not beer), but now with the extra bag fees I won't be doing that. I had originally planned on doing the Costco water delivery.

So my question is, have any of you done this? Is it worth the cost? DH is not big on the idea but he really enjoyed buying a few beers in the snack shop and sitting on the beach watching the fireworks. I thought this would be a suitable alternative.

One month from today :cool1:

yay, another early "May-er"!!!! I have CRT and CM booked already as well!! We'll be doing CM dinner on 5/2 and CRT lunch on 5/5 (just DD and I for that one).

Wow, we can book ALREADY?!?!?! LOL

We are booked May 1-9 as a backup for our Dec trip. We had to cancel 2 trips last year as my DS was in the ICU for 26 days and out of school for 6 months. We booked it *just in case* someone is sick, etc in 6 weeks. We did have the AAA discount, but our TA changed it to the 4/7 offer and got us TPV.

Thank you momatater :thanks: You just made my day.
Additionally, I have been to the "allears" site before, but I never noticed Anita's Answers. She's amazing! :worship:

I booked CM for our first night dinner and our last day breakfast. My DD will be 2, so I thought we should begin and end our trip with Mickey and since it will only be a monorail ride away, why not? I booked CRT for dinner before the Pirate and Princess Party. We had to do dinner because my daughter is fascinated with the fairy godmother and the mice. I'm not sure if we are going to do the P&PP yet, though. Any input??

I just changed our SOG ressies to Poly with the sale and OMGosh am I excited! thank you SO much for all the pictures /info!

Wow, we can book ALREADY?!?!?! LOL

I was told the only things bookable past March 2009 are CRT and CM (there may be a couple more that I cant remember, though. I think it was V&A, but I could be wrong). Otherwise, they are still waiting for the new system to start working...:confused3

We just switched from CBR to Poly for 7 nights in January!! I'm so psyched. Can't wait to read this thread. It has always been my dream to stay at the Poly and my boyfriend and I are very excited to finally be staying here. We're actually paying $30.00 less to stay at the Poly than we were at the CBR with the new package deal. :cool1: :cool1:

Welcome! We'll be at the Poly in January too!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Definitely GO! :thumbsup2 The Pirate and Princess Party was so much fun, we did the party *twice* when I took my DD9, DN10, DN14 and DGsis14 when we stayed at the Poly. It wasn't as crowded as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the fireworks show is AMAZING! Lots of treats, lots of princesses (not enough pirates but that's my fetish) and everyone had great fun.

That's great! :cheer2: Lots of wonderful Poly information here! I got that deal as well but we're now staying at CSR in June instead of the Poly because DD9 has informed me next Christmas she wants to stay at the Disneyland Hotel.

It's a great service. The fee is something like $12 ... surely you'd save $12 on the price of groceries versus individual its at the gift shop. I would think on beer alone you might save that much.
