the new POC, Happy Meal at McD's

I hope a grown up can get a Happy Meal, their website shows the upcoming toys for the PoC happy meal. Some of the toys are a red pirate bandana, an inflatable pirate sword, (I hope to get several of these) and pirate skull that is a "magic 8 Ball" type toy, treasure chest with temp. tatoos, a few pirate plush dolls ( must be the under 3 toy).

I will say it may be confusing to find it. it will be the cars happy meal and just click on whats next.

the other confusing thing is that McD's has seperate sections to click on if you are black, asian or latino. (I am not joking this time) I did not check them out fully, but each section I think did have the link to the happy meal if you choose to look by race. I guess if you don't fit a category offered just use the main website and links.

just in case you don't want to check out the sites they are called
"Black365" (and they use DAK tree of life in the shadows as the symbol, but I don't think it is part of Disney)
"I-am-asian", it is about people, not part of the salad line up
and then "lacocmjxim"-this is spelled wrong, and everything is in spanish and World Cup stuff. it is spelled on a brick wall in gang type graffitii style.
i am sure they are for scholarship programs, and that is fine and good. I just thought it is odd to have seperate race sites.

Yes anyone can get a happy meal.....believe me you should see the collection of Happy Meal toys my husband and I have acquired over our life times. Also my office desk is now a testament to the Cars Movie.

The site states Pirates begin July 7th......However you may want to check your local McDonald's before hand. Sometimes if they run out of the current promo some have started early.

New McDonald's promotions usually start on Friday's. We managed to collect all of the CARS. And yes, we adults can get a happy meal too!! Maybe I'll treat the kids (and me!) to lunch today and check it out. Johnny Depp is even yummier than the fries!!!

Update. Just checked the website. CARS goes through 7/6/06, so the new POTC toys start the day of release 7/7/06.

Yes, adults CAN get Happy Meals. My hubby was all over getting them when the CARS stuff came out. HE wanted to collect all the figurines.

My boys will be happy to see POTC stuff though.

I'm obviously wrong, but I thought Disney wasn't going to team up with McDonalds for their Happy Meal toys after the Cars toys........something about not wanting to be associated with unhealthy food??

Now that they offer alternative sides with their meals (e.g. apple dippers, milk chugs) I'm sure Disney will stick with McDonalds; what more could kids (and their parents) ask for? It's a win-win situation for both!

Personally, I'm excited about the upcoming toys; yep, I'll be the first to search out a stuffed Mr. Depp doll!!

This movie is a PG-13. Personally I think it's a little off to be having Happy Meals promoting it. Having said that I will be more than likely to be picking one up!!!

Both sides deny concerns over obesity were an issue...that's the "official" story. What's ended is the "exclusive" rights contract, meaning that McDonald's couldn't have Dreamworks toys and Disney couldn't have a promotion at Taco Bell. Both sides have said that while the exclusivity issue is over, they're certain that from time to time, they'll still have some cross-promotions.

Weeeeeeelllllll...I see your point, but believe me, those apple dippers and milk chugs are still pretty unhealthy. Doesn't make any difference to me, though; my family has NEVER been to McDonald's and never will!
Honestly...read the ingredient lists for some of the "healthy" choices (even salads) and you will get a shock!
I do sorta wish we could get the Cars collection, but I will just go on eBay, I guess.

I know in the past like with Madame Alexander dolls they will let you buy just the toys as long as they have them in stock.
