Hello my fellow Disney friends!
I wanted to stop and check in while I had a moment. DD is doing much much much better. She finally had a break threw. And I mean that literally! lol The dr had to clean her out, which was a bit traumatic to say the least. We have to follow up with Gastro in the future. But for now, her dr thinks it may be a one time thing. Or, she is hoping it is. We should know in a week or so if her bowels stop working and the sensation to go poo goes away again.
We are still on for June 5-11. We did switch back to the Poly from AKL. We are going ahead with surprising the girls with our stay there. But we are not doing DxDP. Just regular
DDP. We don't eat alot when it is hot, so the DDP is even a bit much for us in the summer.
As for DH and the great job hunt, he has kinda put it off for the moment. He will be working almost full-time for the Army. For those of you who understand military lingo, he made E5 in 2002. He made E6 in 2004. He never went to PLDC (or WLC, whatever its called now) or BNCOC. He kept getting delpoyed, then he had to have surgery on his knee that he hurt jumping off the top of a fuel truck when it was being shot at. That took a year alone to get approved! Gotta love the army and their paperwork! Then, he had to go threw a med board which took almost 2 years. He ended up on a deadmans profile and wasn't allowed to carry a weapon. Deadman for his knee. Not allowed to carry a weapon due to severe PTSD. He has since gotten his knee repaired enough to do PT (walk, but not run) and has been and still being treated for his PTSD (its ongoing for life) so they appealed his med board results. Now he has to do PLDC, BNCOC. And to top it off, he has to reclass because his job isn't needed any longer! Then, if he wants to, he can go right into ANCOC since he has been a E6 FOREVER! So, that should keep him busy well into next year.
So while the job thing didn't work out like we planned and we will be taking a bit of a pay cut, he will atleast be able to get all of his military stuff out of the way and not have to worry about a civilian job finding a reason to get rid of him for all the military training he has to do in the next year. You wouldn't believe how these companies who claim to support troops react when one of their employees are gone for any length of time. Its really sad.
But anyways, that is life in a nutshell right now. We are surviving. Things are working out in their own way. And we are still planning to go to Disney! Life could be a whole lot worse.
I promise to get caught up. I think I am only a couple weeks behind now...
