The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Thanks! My hand and wrist still hurt quite a bit but I am looking forward to not wearing a wrist brace all the time anymore! :goodvibes Now if can just get through this recovery :thumbsup2

I have had both of my shoulders operated on (not at the same time), so I know how rough and long recovery can seem. :scared:

I hope the pain goes away with time. You should be all better by November, right??? :goodvibes

You know back when you started this thread for us this trip seemed like it would take forever to get here, but I think having you all to chat with all this time has made a big difference in helping it not be so bad!! ;)

I think so too! :grouphug::cool1:

Who has their turkey Mickeys all ready? I printed out 6 (2 larger, 4 smaller) and have them laminated. At this point I am thinking we will put them in the lil card holders that on the lanyards, but we will see how it works out.

Mine are ready! :thumbsup2

:cheer2::cheer2: My ticker says 2 Months....::cheer2::cheer2: 61 days until we arrive 60 days until we leave... I better make the second set of lists and get packing.....

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!!!

YAY for 2 MONTHS!! :woohoo:

Hi!! My family and I had to cancel our trip that was originally scheduled for the first week of December, but circumstances be what they may - we were able to book for November 14th - 21st!!!! We're sooo excited as we just booked last night and were able to get the free dining!! Staying at POP - our first time there. Traveling is me (the mom), my DH, and my darling DD!! She will be 5 on Dec 12th, so this is technically a trip to celebrate her first time there and her 5th birthday!!!
Looking forward to seeing what all is going on in this link and how everyone is planning!!!
Melissa

Oh maybe you will see us! We are arriving to Pop the same day but leaving the 20th!!

QOTD: do you unpack or live out of a suitcase?

We normally don't unpack but it will probably be easier for DH to help with DS in the morning if his stuff is unpacked or I may just do the zip lock bag trick instead.

Both! I unpack DH's stuff and the kids stuff and it all fits into the dresser. I hang my shirts/dresses and my shorts & the rest of my stuff stay in the suitcase.

I just brought my suitcases upstairs!! :cool1:

QOTD-
We unpack everything, then we put all the suitcases into each other and either take them to the van or put them in the corner. I agree, it makes me feel like I am home. Funny thing, Disney is the only place I unpack. When we visit family and stuff we don't unpack.

We unpack if traveling alone in own room but not sure how things will go this trip since we will be in a 1 bdrm villa, if there is only one dresser and it is in the bedroom I doubt I will unpack, probally just live out of the suitcase since we offered DS and Ddil the bdrm as they are both 6ft tall and need the King bed.

We unpack. I like to make myself at home as much as possible, besides living out of a suitcase really makes it cramped for us. If we take advantage of the drawers and closet we have so much more space!

I haven't stayed at the villas in the Animal Kingdom, so the furniture might differ a little (besides in themeing) from Saratoga, but in Saratoga in the one bedroom and 2 bedroom villas, the master bedroom has a dresser/entertainment center as well as a nice closet and the living room area also has a dresser/entertainment center, so whomever is sleeping in the living room on the couch bed will still have drawers for their clothes.
Here is a picture of it.

Oh kewl that solves one problem lol, I will be unpacking then as we like to settle in to wherever we are staying.

I am an early riser and I did not want to have to wait to get into the bdrm to get my clothes and I know I would not remember to get them the night before

Thanks Mindy

Mine are ready! :thumbsup2

Doc said six weeks for almost full use again, so it will be right down to the wire but should be okay :woohoo:

Since we are there the same week, I hope these lil turkeys will help us meet at some point! :)

Are you making them for your kiddos too? When I showed them to mine and explained what they were for, they wanted me to get online right away and show them this forum. Once they looked around a bit, they were excited about the idea of meeting some of our group. :goodvibes

Me and hubby usually unpack some of our stuff, but with us camping this time everything will stay packed to keep down on the mess in the tent :rotfl:
