Well...we only went in Dec...and it was pretty busy both times...the second time it rained right before, and then it was FREEZING! I think Nov would be far less crowded and you don't have to worry about it being soooo cold!

I've been off the boards for the past few days - crazy week between work and the kids' activities. But I'm glad I hopped on this morning to take a peek: lots of new info from all you wonderful planners :cool1:

My Disney spreadsheet has 6 tabs right now! :rolleyes1 One for my shopping list, which I'm sending to my mom this time because she just moved to Winterhaven and she'd LOVE to save me a step (yay!). Another is for all the ADR choices with URLs for the restaurant menus online. Another is for my questions to Jenna, our DVC consultant. The rest are for: other ideas/tips from DISers, park hours, ticket prices, etc.

So glad to see the MVMCP dates - I think we'll go on the 12th because our anniversary is the 11th and we want to go to California Grill (sans children). Since we leave on the 13th, I think it will be a great last night at the World!

11 more days til I make my ADRs!

Hey I read in the Unofficial guide that resort guests can make ADR's 190 days in advance instead of 180??? For me that would be tomorrow !!!!!!

Anyone know if this is true??? or a typo maybe? :scared1:

it's true.. but not the way you are thinking.. resort quests get to make ADR's 180 + 10 days OUT from your vacation. So let's say your ADR window is today, for your October vacation. (I don't know the correct day).. you can make your reservations for your WHOLE vacation, not just the 1st day of your vacation, up to 10 days from the START of your vacation. That just means you don't have to keep calling back each day for each day of your vacation.

I hope that made sense.. its easier to say it than type it.. :lmao:

Don't count on it. I've been when it was *freezing* in November. The weather in FL during October - February is very unpredictable.

I think the 180+10 is a little confusing, but (I could be very wrong) it isn't really 190. My understanding is that at your 180 mark, you can make your reservations for that day + the first 10 days of your stay. For example, if you were lucky enough to stay 14 days :cloud9:, you could make your reservations for days 1-10 (maybe 11) and then have to go on again a few days later for your last 3 or 4 days.

We've never stayed that long, so I've never had to worry about a second round of ADRs.

The 180 + 10 makes total sense now, thank you!

I also have a few other questions about the dining plan.... I am arriving and checking in on the 7th and checking out on the 13th, however we bought a 6 day base ticket because we are not going to the parks the first day. So what is the dining plan based off? Do I get 7 days of meals for a 6 night stay, or is it 6 days of meals based on the 6 day ticket.... Also does it matter when I use them? I hadn't planned on using the dining plan on the 7th when we check in but do plan on using it all day on the 13th since the day we check out is a full park day for us.... but can I actually use it both days??

Ugh, now I am, confusing myself!

Gotcha, :thumbsup2 You explained it fine, thanks :)

I recall one year we visited in October and were over DHS (MGM at that time) watching the show don't recall now if it was still then called Fantasmic or what but , the locals were all wearing heavy jackets, it might have been in the 40's but Us being from the north and having "thicker blood" wondered why they thought it was so cold  there we were in shorts and thin jackets :lmao:
Not so much worried about "cold" but rain will upset me

The meal plan will be tied to your number of nights in the resort, not to the number of days of park tickets. Meal plan credits expire at midnight the night that you check out, so you can check out on the 13th, go to the parks and use your remaining credits all day. But as I understand it, you will have 6 days worth of credits since you are staying 6 nights, not 7. (But you can use those credits however you wish over all 7 days.) HTH.

Just called and bought my tickets for the MVMCP :santa: I went with the first night November 8, since it is the day we arrive it will be a good start to a fantastic vacation I think :goodvibes.
Now I have to finalize my weeks schedule and get my ADR's ready its almost my time to call. :dance3:

Awesome thanks!

Does anyone think that free dining might be extended into November at any point? If not what special offers do you think they might offer if any for our dates????

CANNOT describe how giddy I am at the thought of being at WDW in long sleeves!!!! :cool1: We're usually there in the summer & it's as bad or worse than Texas! Of course, I guess that rules out some of our faves...the waterparks

Well...I am at 28 weeks away!!! Actually it's tomorrow..but I may not get on here tomorrow!! That seems soooo far away! But, I only have 2 1/2 weeks until my ADR day!! May is a busy month, so it will fly by! My hubby's bday is next Monday (3rd), then the 9th is Mother's Day, the 10th is my ds10's birthday...plus, my dd has ballet recital on the 22nd, with weekend practices and dress rehearsal. Then on the 17th is my ADR morning!!! Woo Hoo! We have not got any plans for June,,my oldest one's youth group has church camp, but I think he is skipping it this summer...then my middle one has camp mid-July...which we will be nearby! It's out by San Antonio, hubby is driving the bus to & fro, so we are staying in SA and making a little looooong weekend out of it! July and August draaaaggg here..Sept does too..it's just so hot it is misery!!! So, after he gets back from church camp, we will be starting back to school. We usually have our first 8or 9 weeks in by the time our local school starts!!!;) So...do any of you have big summer plans, or are you just staying local and saving for Disney?

Me too! At least with cold you can layer. Standing there dripping sweat at the bus stop already at 8 am is not something I care to do ever again!

:rotfl2: I know! Even thinking of AK in the summer makes me want to turn my fan on.
