It's very quiet around here...I know we are right at the 250 pages mark..did we already move?
or is it just quiet?
or is it just quiet?
or is it just quiet?I noticed there is now a "Newer Moms" thread -- which means we are now the "Old Moms" ---- kinda funny!!!

Oh, no, I feel so old!![]()
This is so sad. I don't want to lose this thread. I have been busy packing and cleaning! We are moving a week from yesterday. I am so excited but just want to get through it too. It will be a nice break away from DS even though I will be driving 10+ hour days. Isn't that sad?
What's new with everyone? Alexander is starting to talk a lot more. He isn't really adding a ton of new words but he is starting to put more words together. He used to only say "Mama Car" and "Dada Car" as his two word phrase but now he is putting all the words he knows together. He says new words but not more than a few a week. He waits until he KNOWS the words and KNOWS that people will understand it before he talks. He is answering yes and no questions correctly which is super cute. I am not too worried about his speech. I don't think he is necessarily behind just more working on it at his own pace. I noticed a few weeks ago that he was jumping, lifting both feet off the ground and landing on them properly. That was pretty cool.
You're moving back to MA, right???
Yup!! Can't wait. We are going to be on the Cape for a few months and then hopefully buy a house in Southern New Hampshire this Fall. I am not sure how long we will stay on the Cape. I am hoping that the Tax Credit gets extended so we don't feel rushed to buy before December 1.

How is Izzy doing and how is the TTC going- weren't you doing the transfer soon?
so i can spend a little time at home with Will in the summer and really find something else I like again. I definitely won't do the small family business thing again. back to corporate world for me. We have savings (thanks to DH being a total tightwad!!) so we would be just fine for a while, plus i could get unemployment for at least a year, since I've been paying into it for almost 15 years now. I am just kind of ready for something to happen at work one way or the other- i've applied for one other job already, i just don't know what will happen. we will see.
So his development is flipped from what is normal for boys, I guess, but since both DH and I were verbal kids and neither of us was/is athletic, it's not too surprising.
The look of wonder and amazement when he saw the giraffes walking past him was just priceless, and he laughed and stared at the gorillas for ages. Since most of the trip was more about bringing Owen along on our adventures, it was nice to do something just focused on him for a day. Plus he'd never been to a zoo before, and I was guessing he'd enjoy it. It was an hour+ drive, so DH and FIL were a little skeptical about it, but once we got there and they saw how much Owen liked it, they agreed that it was a good idea.
There were plenty of empty seats, though, so I did suggest that they (or even we) could move, but the woman in front of us wouldn't hear of it and said Owen was just being a toddler and it was perfectly fine for him to kick her seat for nearly 3 hours. I thanked her for understanding, and I'm glad she was so gracious! She kept playing games with Owen, too, which helped keep him occupied.
