Are the wheelchair seating areas the same as they were for Tarzan? Mostly in the back (like most theaters) with a few up close spots for special needs/make a wish?

Yes. There are wheelchair spot along the middle (in the walkway, behind the front section of seats) and there are a few spots for wheelchairs up in the front right section. I would say for anyone with a wheelchair party to get there EARLY, as for the 3:00 show they completely filled the sections and were making announcements that anyone with a chair would have to come back for the next show.
I don't know, if all I say of the Lion King show was that, I would probably understand where they were going. The men in bright orange skintight outfits holiding puppets seemed awfully odd.
yes, it is odd. In fact I posted elsewhere that the Nemo ending is odd for a similar reason. I found it a little jarring, or maybe distracting, from the storyline.
Having said that, you may not like the full show but I still believe you would appreciate the effort. And in some ways, I'm happy to see Disney shake things up a bit rather than just add another 'me too' stage show.
We were there at the beginning of Nov. and saw the very first show(they even called it still a dress rehersal)We all loved it. You need to go and think about all that is involved in the show. The characters sing while moving large puppets and they even have some acrbatics along the way. The sets I found to be lovely and the large Crush was amazing. I would reccomend this show to everyone

MJ, I'm with you on this show. I thought the actors w/puppets were rather strange, too. Nemo is a boy, right? Then why would the actor who does the voice of Nemo wear a dress? Because she is female??? It was really distracting because the puppets weren't front and center and the primary focus. Was I supposed to be watching the actors or the puppets? These big fish on sticks are not really puppets, either.
During Fantasmic, there are portions of the show when cast members in dark clothing carry puppet parts (like the big snake or the African animals). The focus is on the puppet, not on the CM. That's what I am talking about.
I will agree that the Crush actor was good, probably the best part of the show.
I never really cared for the Tarzan Rocks show either (except for the Skater Monkeys and Tarzan), but this didn't seem like an improvement.
We just got back from the Wrord last night- booooo!!! I saw the Nemo ride Friday afternoon, and I loved it! I can see how some people didn't, but I thought it was nice to have a different show that was more than just plain characters in costumes. TO each their own, however- but I will definitely be seeing it again in October with my mom
my ds 8 and dd 7 loved the show and i did also but took me awhile to get used to seeing the actors was thinking it was going to be like Little Mermaid at mgm but is well worth seeing
We watched a preview of the Nemo musical last month and were totally underwhelmed. It is a LONG chunk of day, 45 minutes just for the show, plus queuing, filling the theater, and exit time. The puppeteers were VERY distracting, nothing to do with the costumes, just the concept. We couldn't get past "Nemo, my son" being a girl and I wanted to drown Dory by the end (and we LOVE her in the movie). Understand that voices will never be the same, but they really missed the mark on some of them. My 8yo was ready to leave 15 minutes into it (and several crying children were taken out during/after the shark scene, just as a beware) and my 10yo thought it was eh. I'm glad we saw it once, but I won't waste the time on it again.
It was cute but that's it,IMO,unless you're a huge Nemo fan. There's nothing new-it's the movie on stage. If you have a really tight schedule, skip it. The one must see show in all WDW is Festival of the Lion King.
