Does anyone have a idea how this will be on pay as you go?

Hi,
I don't think the iPhone will be available on pay-as-you-go. At this stage of it's release it will be contract only and will come "free" with a £45+ a months contract. I think it may be pay-as-you-go nearer to christmas.

TBH I can't see them making the i phone pay as you go at all, it's exclusive so they want you to pay for the priviledge of owning one. Is it still only available on 02?

If you look on O2's website it does confirm that it might be pay-as-you-go towards the end of the year, I had read this rumour a while back....I'm guessing but I think when it is available on PAYG the inital outlay for the phone will be pretty hefty £200+.

if you go for a £30 or a £35 pm contact a 8gb is £99,and a 16gb is £159,on £45 8gb is free,and a 16gb is £59 the £75 trarrif both are free

Knowing my reputation for dropping/loosing my phone in the handbag i think i'll just get a cheapo phone

If it does go PAYG then you could buy it in France & you can choose the network. As there is a ruling in France which means there can be no exclusivity on phones to networks.

Almost. PAYG Will be £299 for 8 gig, £350 for 16gig.
Not til more or less xmas.

Hoping to upgrade from my nokia n95 to this tomorrow, but stocks are limited to "a few dozen" per store "on average" according to o2's site, which is appaulling given the farce that was monday's online pre order.

Still hopefully i can pick it up en route to work tomorrow, assuming there's not a massive queue of iNerds when i pass the shop

Oh there will be, they've been camped outside some stores since wednesday

Hes not been activated yet but this is expected with so many signing up 1st day(from o2 shop)
But it is coooool, as we have wi fi in the house the internet is easy pesy to use

heard that the apple store wont let you take them home,but o2 stores are,havent heard about carphone warehouse

heard the opposite here, apple will let you, o2 no. Noone in my o2 store this morning could take theirs
