By saying you would have to downgrade to a basic DreamMaker package, does that mean there are deals out there for the DreamMaker package? Or is this a decision based on the price of the Gold Package? Thanks.

I spoke with a CM named Patsy who assisted me in cancelling my DC reservation. She asked what the code was that the new ressie was under. She said she just likes to ask to see which codes are better than the DC rates. I gave her code AXA and she said "Oh yes, we've been booking that code since the 12th." I didn't question her any further because I really didn't care. I got my discount and that was what important to me. The only thing I figured is that Mary from Mousesavers said this code came from a friend in Puerto Rico. Maybe it just took some time to find out. I hope your not doubting my honesty because what benefit is there for me to lie or mislead anyone on these boards. I just posted what I was told. I didn't feel the need to verify it. I guess next time I will.

This is the basic package that includes room and tickets and 1 choice thing-I don't know exactly what that is.

The person I spoke to at CRO also told me that this code had been active since 2/12. She also told me this is the first time she'd seen it.

My guess is that this code was put into the computer on 2/12, but no advertising was done for it until 2/16. I'm guessing it WAS in the computer, but, CRO wouldn't know about it until someone actually requested the code.

CRO will not, apply a code unless you ask for it specifically. Simply asking for "a code", won't work.

These codes seem to be taking about 30% off rack rate for regular season. If this is the case, do we think it will be the same for value season, starting 7/4?? That would be okay with me.

The rates I got for the Poly Lagoon view and AKL concierge were barely 20% off rack.

I've seen the ap rates run about 30-40%. So we'll have to wait and see for those

The CM that applied our AXA code discount also said it is 30% off rack rates for regular season. Not too shabby I'd say. We saved $400 off our three room booking! Could the AP's be better you think?

I agree! It seems like the discount at some of the resorts with the new code is better than at others.

For example:
Reg. season Stand.- BC/YC $329 Discount-$239 (28% savings)
Reg. season Stand.- WL- $239 Discount-$149 (38% savings)
Reg. season Stand.- CR- $264 Discount-$174 (35% savings)
Reg. Season Stand.- AKL-$239 Discount-$149 (38% savings)
Reg. Season Stand.- POLY-$344 Discount-$254 (26% savings)
Reg. Season Lagoon -GF-$455 Discount-$365 (20% savings)

It seems like the AKL and WL have the best discounts.

We got the BC for $239, not even our first choice, since the YC doesn't have any standard rooms for 3 of our 5 nights, so now I have a split stay.(Hopefully temporarily) However, although I am grateful for any price break, I have been getting the YC for $189 or $199 the last several years.

I hope the AP rates or another code can offer an even better discount!

I was able to apply the AXA code to GF reservation -- price went from about $384, incl. tax, with AAA rate to $299 plus tax (about $328 I think incl. tax). Still hoping for better AP rates.

Agreed. And I think as you went up in category the discounts also got lower.

Hence the 19% for AKL concierge and 20% for Poly Lagoon view.

Mind you , I am not complaining. I'll take it. All the more to spend in the parks, since whatever "bargain" I get with the codes gets spent in Disney anyway.

My Dreams Unlimited agent got me the Beach Club for $239 a night plus tax standard view. Woo Hoo! I'm so glad we'll be saving some money!

Just booked 3 nights in a BW 1 bedroom villa and the rate I got using the AXA code was 384.68 a night, including tax. The CM I spoke to said to call back when the AP codes come out to check if that discount might be better.

They must be going fast. Caribbean was not available for the discount, however all other mod's were. I booked CS for 104/nt

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! These boards are wonderful. I saw the post this morning about the new codes. Went home at lunch and was able to modify my existing ressie through CRO for 7 nights at Coronado Springs for a savings of $312!!!

The information available on these boards never ceases to amaze me! Thanks again to everyone regarding info about the codes!

No codes for any other pkgs (ie. Silver
and Gold) yet I was told.

YC and BC std room only with code
sold out for 1st 2 wks in May.
