More than 4* in Vegas is the only way to go IMHO. The rooms are so reasonable for us Brits with the exchange rate and the fact that the rooms room rates are low due to the gambling losses! Great for us that don't really gamble!! I love the Bellagio and Venetian. The Wynn looks lovely too (haven't stayed there though) but is a little too far up strip for my liking. My best room though has to have been in the Venetian (we got a high roller suite by some miracle - we booked a regular room! I guess the check in girl was in a good mood!!)

Ye I saw your photos of that the other night - it looked amazing

I remember you're second one, though I forget whether you were posting about hen you visit the top of sleeping beauty's castle or the castle bit in the middle of the maze...

I think that was still back when I was a lurker rather than a poster - I lurked for quite a while, just reading a giggling at some of the posts and pretending to play the quizzes.

I lurked for weeks before joining......... And I'm sure you can all guess what I was looking at!!

Bob xoxoxo

oh dont include me as part of a tag clique please :goodvibes

I'm not saying there is one and certainly wouldn't point fingers at people for belonging to one. But, if the tag thing was to made really important, then the non-tagged people who care about them might start feeling as if the tagged people belonged to a clique.

Follow? :goodvibes

Our suite at the Venetian came with a sauna. I mean who needs a sauna in Las Vegas, you are in the middle of a freakin desert!! It was 120 degrees outside in the middle of the afternoon with zero humidity!!

I lurked as well for a while then made a quick post- cant even remember what it was about - and got really excited when someone replied

Yes, your quiz dragged me out of lurking and inflicted me upon the DIS.

So, in 2 weeks time when I'm celebrating 3,000 (I'm sure I hit 1,000 about 2 weeks ago. I know it was back on the other thread when things got mighty confusing for a few days [I know we're not meant to have in jokes etc, but I don't feel like explaining that one for people who don't understand I'm afraid because I don't have the required 4 years], which I'm sure was 2 weekends ago)

I'm a little worried when I go to DLRP next month. My parents have never been to a disney park before (we are taking them for their 40th anniversary, I figured if their only child was a DIsney nut they should see what they created!) Anyway, what are they going to think when I start taking pictures of all our food for the food thread!

They'll take it all in their stride- my Mum did at Christmas. She had been to Disney before (WDW) but not since we'd become as mad as now and definitely not since we started taking photos of food

:) :)

Have been reading this site for past few weeks and decided to join. We are going on our second visit to DLP in 6 weeks and have just returned from a few days in Paris. We decided to do this so we could concentrate on the 'Disney Magic' without feeling the need for our 'Parisien Fix!' :cheer2: We (DH; DW; DD [7]) will be staying at the Santa Fe again for 2 nights (3 days in the parks) and then two further nights at the Explorer to give us the option of an extra day in the parks + retail therapy at La Vallee :dumbo: or just chilling out at the hotel and in Disney village.

Yeah you are right. I already gave them a copy of the Brits guide to study (I actually used the word study!!) and gave them copies of park maps from my April trip. So far my dad want to go on "that run away train thing!" and my mum wants to see "that stunt show car thing with herbie" They have a lot to learn. I showed them pictures of the Disneyland hotel and my dad asked if he needed to pack his suit, bless him!!

Thanks Id a funny feeling somehow you were going to resurrect that. - Seems strange reading that now after all these other posts - it probably took me ages to write it and decide what to say
