Good afternoon all... Hubby and I will be spending our 19th Anniversary at the World from Sept. 28-Oct. 9, 2015 (please add us to the roll call). When I called and booked, I booked a package for rooms and tickets (Magic Your Way Package). Does anyone know if a FD offer comes out do I have to cancel my current package and start all over with a new reservation number, or can my current reservation number still be used? It looks like I'm supposed to start booking my dining in April but I don't want to go thru all that effort if it just gets "wiped" with a new reservation. Thanks!!
they can just add the discount to your package - no need to rebook.

I think you can keep the same reservation number and have the free dining added. ADRs are not at all related to your hotel reservation/package so you can make your ADRs in April and nothing will happen if you change the package.

can anyone who is there at CBR now in one of the refurbed rooms tell me about the new coffee makers?

They are the Cuisinart two cup types. There are packets/pods of Joffrey's in the room.

Just wanted to say that I timed the walk to OPR from my room in Jamaica 42, and from my door to the back doors by the fountain, it was a 6 minute walk exactly. Slow-moderate pace.

We had to rebook reservation they would not let us add dining
but we just moved dining to new hotel reservation???

How many have gotten their request for a water view room location ? If we stay here I would like to be in Martinique 25 water view. I have thought of booking preferred and requesting Martinique but I think the water view would be really nice, we want to be close to the food and main pool.

I did, I booked a king room and requested water view in Jamaica. I would go with your plan of booking preferred and requesting water view Martinique, but pick which is more important to you (close to food/pool vs. view) in case you don't get all your requests.

Have had a great five days here at CBR! Today I slept in then hung out at the pool for a bit before going to Typhoon Lagoon. Pools have been great, the view is amazing, spent some time chilling in a hammock just steps from my door, food court was fine. Only a few minor negatives that I can think of: the parking situation in Jamaica 41-43, as I mentioned before; the WiFi leaves a bit to be desired, and holy loud A/C units! While I like that they aren't the motion sensor kind they could definitely stand to be a little quieter! Did not use any buses so can't comment on those. I would definitely stay here again, but I'm on a quest to stay at all the resorts. Checking out in the morning to head over to the Grand Floridian for one night, then home on Tuesday.

So I'm considering CBR for our April vacation and just checked our dates and the only rooms available are preferred... no standard view, no pool view. For the end of April 2015. Can that be right?? I didn't think I was THAT late planning our vacation!

Cheerleading Worlds cheer competition at Wide World of Sports is at the end of April, so that could be why.

Thank you for the info? I've got no experience going this time of year so I'm not familiar with it at all... do they typically stay at moderates? I thought large groups were usually in values. How does it affect the park crowds?

ETA: Just checked for the week prior and there are rooms in every category so you may be absolutely right. I'd prefer the week of the 26th and would also prefer to not be surrounded by hordes of tween/teen girls so CBR might not be the place for us this trip. :(

Here is my view from Jamaica 41:

Spent most of the day at the parks, but did swim in the Jamaica pool for a little while this afternoon. It was nice, but a little too warm for this time of year. Not exactly refreshing, but nice anyway.

Haven't made it OPR yet but plan to eat there tomorrow. Buses have been great so far. Didn't even have to wait too long this morning for a bus to Magic Kingdom for an early ADR.

That's really all I have so far! Overall, we are loving it here!

I think they have packages that include value or moderate resorts and each team can pick where they want to stay within their budget. I would go the week before, it's after Easter and before Worlds and the Summit, which is another big cheer competition the first weekend in May.

Most of the athletes stay at the All Stars. CBR is an option for both athletes/spectators/parents to book. This is applicable for both the Cheerleading Worlds and Summit. It gets a little crazy during this time, especially at the All Stars.

I chose not to have a water view in bdg 25 - The trouble with being 'beach front' is that you'll get people walking past all the time and unless you keep your blinds closed for privacy you'll have people glancing in. We also kept our laptops out on the table, so they would have been fully visible to anyone walking past and glancing in. It's not as if you can sit outside your room and watch the world go by, either.

Can anyone tell me what dining plan snacks are available at CBR?

I posted on a separate thread but maybe someone here has in-sights, staying at CBR 2/1-8 and just found there is a national dance competition at WDW and CBR is an option for them to stay, competition is only over the weekend so I'm not sure how this might impact us, any advice?? Help!?? Feel so sad about this so I'm hoping someone might have experience, guessing they're quieter then the cheerleading competitions, still want to make sure I switch when I can...:confused3

I stayed at POR 2/7/14 - 2/12/14. There was a cheer competition of some sort that weekend and we had heard rumors that POR may be overrun with teens because they could fit 5 per room (cheaper per person). I didn't see a single cheerleader or unchaperoned youth the entire time I was there. Even in the parks, we rarely saw a cheer group.

The Brazilian 15s were a different story. There were herds of them in every park.

I have been told from a very reliable source that the Children's Splash area will be closed for some work from September 2nd -26. They said that the main pool will NOT be affected. It is only the Children's Splash area.[/QUOTE]

Is this for real??? I have 2 kids under the age of 5 that cannot swim in the main pool. I hope this is reopened by the time we check in at the end of September. This would be VERY disappointing, especially when we have been talking about the "pirate pool" to them.:(

Thank You for the info about the dance/cheer groups, I've been at the computer for over an hour debating on what to do, change resorts or stick with CBR- we stay in a preferred room and only in the food court here and there so unless I hear horrible stories I will stick it out, we just loved our last stay here and don't want to change resorts!

You guys are awesome!!! :)
