One of our typical resort days: Sleep in Grab breakfast at OPR Take a walk around the lake. Our son, 12, loves to see how many critters he can find. Usually quite a few. Hit the pool Have lunch at the pool Rent some bikes and take a couple laps around the lake. We stop off at a couple of the quiet pools to cool off along the way. Swim so more Head back to the room and change Have dinner at Shutters Catch the marshmallow roast - The CMs that work this are always so knowledgeable and have great tidbits and Disney trivia. Watch the poolside movie Grab a hammock on the Martinique beach and watch the higher fireworks from Illuminations Call it a night

This sounds like a perfect vacation day. We have two resort days worked into our fall vacation and I can't wait to enjoy the resort!

That sounds like a great day. We are thinking about changing our plans a bit to do this.

I just noticed in the pictures on Pg.23 that it doesn't appear to look like a ceiling fan is there anymore. My DH will come unglued if the ceiling fan is gone! He has to have it to sleep. Won't bother me any, but he is going to go nuts without it. Uh oh.....
Maybe its there, and it just didn't show up in the picture.

Add me to the list - We will be at CBR for the first time 9/30 - 10/11, whoohoo!! Free Dining, Food and Wine, and MNSSHP, here we come! :) Crossing my fingers that we are able to snag a *new* room w/ a Murphy bed - that's what we've always gotten at POR, and my 13 y.o. son is not happy with the prospect of sharing a bed with his 6 y.o. sister, or his dad hahaha. ;)

ideas for a non park day, first day:

same as stated. only, instead of dinner at shuttters, have dinner at downtown disney.. if you are booked on a package, you will get a $15 Planet Hollywood voucher. if you are on the dining plan you will NOT have either the time or appetite to squeeze this in anyway druing the week.

while you are at DTD, after eating walk across the street to the Hess gas station.. buy beer at the price you would normally buy it at home. or wine .. or both. if you are not on the dining plan,. buy some soda and chips, other snacks
even grab a couple sub sandwiches.

yes they will let you bring the beer on the disney bus (you can't open it, of course! lol)

get back to the resort in time to enjoy a beer in your hammock, watching the top half of illuminations.

Sounds like an awesome day!! Looking forward to our resort days!! Ours is going to be very similar. We plan to get up early and take a ride to the Ron Jon in Orlando and spend the rest of the day like yours!

Hey, please add me on the list. I'll be staying at the CBR Dec 12th to the 19th.

Thank you and look forward to bumping into ppl!

...For our last trip the golf vouchers were part of the packet we received when we checked in. So I don't think you can use them early. Not 100% sure though.

All of the rooms have a fridge. There was a safety recall of the fridges last year so there was a time when the majority of the rooms across WDW were without fridges. They have since completed the swap out and every room on WDW property has a fridge. You're good to go.:thumbsup2

Thanks!

When I can I will just reserve the times I want and worst case is I have to pay for a couple of rounds and will just have to book more times so as to not "waste" the freebies, lol.

Great to hear about the fridge, from water or beer, I like my drinks cold and didn't want to be constantly filling the ice bucket.

And thanks for keeping this thread updated, your work is really appreciated.

Hey, a fellow Albertan! Welcome! :wave2:

We've stayed at CBR 8 times now and just love it, I'm sure you will too.

What part of AB are you at? We're about 2 hours north east of Edmonton. :)

Excited to stay at CBR for our first visit, November 9-16. Previously stayed at POP and POR and our family of four - DH, DS8 and DS5 are booked in a preferred room at CBR! I think they will love it - stayed in a Royal Room at POR and they loved that too, even if it was FAR from everything! We had strong leg muscles by the time we got home!! This thread is great - getting me excited for our trip!

Welcome. I've added your dates. I think you guys will love it too!

Are there any new reports of guests staying in the refurbished rooms? Just wondering if the process is going faster now?

My DD and I arrive on Wednesday and I will be sure to update the thread :thumbsup2.

Wow, you must have a long travel day getting to MCO. We are in Calgary. Flying on a sale price so couldn't get the non-stop on the Saturday, but the savings are enough for a condo offsite before we get into CBR.

Have you stayed in the pirate rooms at all? My six year old nephew is really excited just from the pictures. I did have to tell him the water cannons aren't for him only lol. Now we have to figure out how to fit in all of the pirate adventures and the not so scary party while keeping him from getting too tired, since as y'all probably know a tired child is a cranky child, lol.

Can't wait!
