The new AKV

Hello

I am new to this site and I am looking for information. I am planning a family vacation in September. It will be my husband and my parents and we were looking for a nice place to stay. I saw that Disney createda new place AKL which is also for the DVC. Has anyone stayed in the DTC section and how is it?

No one has stayed there because it is still being built. It should open sometime next year.

There are DVC villas now integrated into the original Animal Kingdom Lodge building, and those are currently available for booking.

So wait, theres another building all together, away from the lodge?
I didnt know that, is there a map of it, or pics anywhere?
Cool, will it have a cool lobby like AKL, of course not exactly the same, im sure, but like it?

AKV's is building a whole new building. It is still under construction. It will have a interactive water park in the pool area. It is going to be a wonderful resort, You can see it from AKL which also has some of DVC in it. There are pictures, but someone else will have to tell you how to access them. Disney has sent artist drawings over a year ago.

AKL has two floors that are almost totally DVC villas (fifth floor and sixth floor). This is Jambo House. In mid-2009, Kidani Village will open totally as DVC.

Just came back from AKL(May 15-25th). This is now my favorite resort!!! What an atmosphere. I was also surprised that I did not feel as far away from all of the parks as I thought I would!!
