My how we've come on!

Does anyone remember the NES and Sega MasterSystem?

How about the SNES and Sega Genesis? Did you have a preference?

The first video at-home video games I ever played were Atari. But then we did get a Nintendo for Christmas one year. I think it was 1987. This picture of myself and my siblings opening it still makes me smile. We were all supposed to open it together but my brother was so excited when he realized what it was that he just ripped all the paper off. I was so mad. As seen here, I'm hitting him. 😁 Just the beginning of fighting over the Nintendo!

The NES is still my favorite console. So many great gaming franchises got their start on the NES and I have so many memories of not only the games themselves but spending hours with friends playing and trying to uncover secrets like in The Legend of Zelda.

My kids love our NES Classic. Super Mario and Punch Out! are my personal favs.

I still have my NES, super NES, and a cart full of the games. My youngest has become an old-school video game buff and has been figuring out how to stream from all his old systems for his friends to watch. His big Christmas wish this year is a gameboy advance. I feel like this kid was born 30 years too late.
