The Nerve of Some People -Please Read-

Well, I am a bit annoyed with things happening in VMK, but this was really low, well maybe not the lowest of the low but still, you get what I mean. It bugged me.

Anyways, I have been playing pirates all day (5,000 credits YAY!) You know how it goes, you see those rude people, but you also find those really nice people, that are always polite saying Gl and GG , even if they lose.Thats how I play I just play for fun not just for credits. I mean credits are nice and all but still, I just love the game.

In an earlier thread about pirates I offered help to anyone who needed it. (While I tell me story I will not give the names, they know who they are) I was playing pirates with one of the Dis Members, I guess they didn't know who I was on VMK because I don't have it written down anywhere like in my signature and stuff. So I try my hardest but lose the round. I say a simple "GG Sorry about that" I always try to be polite, but this person said, I hate you. I knew she was from the Dis Boards. I mentioned in the next level, "I don't think the boards would like to hear this, expecially since you told me you were against people being rude in pirates."

"What boards?" asked the person "Dis," I replied while trying to defeat the other people. This person says "Oh I am sorry I was just joking around, I did not mean it for real" I know this person would have continued to say that, like they said for the first two rounds if I didn't mention that. I was going to tell that person that They are the people that don't make the game fun, to be nice, let's just play the game and end it here. The person after the game was like, Oh you heard me say sorry right?

I'm sorry to make this a bit of a long post, but I hate people that do that, if you noticed I never said if this person was a he/she because I think they already feel enough guilt and we really shouldn't post that type of stuff. I hope that person learns to be a nicer person, expecially since they seem like it from the countless posts I read on the Dis Boards every day from that person. I just don't understand why a person would do that after saying they hate those people themselves, that's what people should think about, If you don't like what people are doing it Don't Do it YOURSELF.

Okay Rant Over. Anyone have any comments?

ok im sorry i tend to get a little mad during pirates and i have come forward to reveal that it was me she was talking about and i wasnt saying that i hate you i was saying it to the ppl on the other team. i will try to be nicer during pirates especially since i want to be a CL. outside the game i am completely different, trust me and the ppl who know me know that. so if you ever play with me dont think i am so rude especially if its the first time you see me, like wdwfan

WDWfan, I wish you didn't have to go through that especially since you were nice enough to offer to help others. I am still trying to talk DH into playing Pirates so I won't have to. I think it is the behaviour in the gae that makes me not want to play it anymore. You are doing such a nice thing by helping others, please don't think it isn't greatly appreciated. If I can't get DH to play by tomorrow, my daughter and I might have to ask for your help if the offer is still open.

Sorry to hear this WDWfan36.

FrontierNatasha: A little tip. It takes more time to type out your frustrations than it does just to scream at the screen. Think that you "hate" someone and even say it aloud to yourself. But never type it. You will get over it and you won't hurt someone in the process.

I know these words well......

of course while I am screaming these the other players are probably screaming back at me for stalling and freezing not my fault but loses the game all the same.

It should make no difference whatsoever if the people you are playing with on your team are great or awful~rudeness is just not acceptable behavior in my opinion.

The original topic began with a discussion of rude players on the opposing team but yes, there are also rude players on the same team. As I continue to improve in the game, I found myself the only ship left standing yesterday against four ships on the opposite side (was playing as a mule). So rather than cheer me on, I got...."omg, hit them"..."omg, you can't shoot"..."you sock"..."we will lose because of you". Now mind you, I was the only one that was able to remain afloat and had gotten quite a bit of points as well. Yet I was spoken to rudely.

In another game, I still managed to stay alive with another player on my team, yet that player felt the need to tell the others who has already gotten blown up how awful they are and that they stink at the game. Now I ask you, is this really necessary.

FrontierNatasha, I am glad that you are sorry about your behavior and I hope that you reconsider your words before you hit enter. That type of talk is truly not necessary or called for, even if all the other players are terrible at the game.

I have in the past, and will continue to avoid such players in the game who find it necessary to ridicule and mock other or fellow players.

I truly miss the old pirates game............................

It's okay to get mad, but since you want to be a CL you usually want to stop that rudeness, like what me and my friend do, whenever someone says shut up or you sock, we tell them that it wasn't very nice and let's end it here with a little smile at the end, that usually stops them. What I notice though, if you first play with a rude player but in the next game are with a rude player and Cl, eveyone is nice lol. That isn't true for every game though because I meet lots of nice people who have ended up on my friends list (Ok here I go oT but)

Whenever I ask people to join my game I say Join Peeps. I just like saying that, so this one dude joined and in the game he said I'm a peep, I thought it was funny, he's on my friends list and now his nick name is peep, lol. Sorry just popped into my head

Same here, I yell at the screen, one of the ones I use alot like mal does is

"What are you doing! it is capture the flag not BATTLE" I always tell them to get the flag because even if they do kill them but the other team moved the flag a bit they won.

Well when she put (sp?) next to the word definitely, you could probably tell she didn't know how to spell that word. I kindly told her the correct spelling; what is wrong with that?

By the way I'm never going to settle for horrible spelling/grammar rotfl2: ) when this is not VMK, and people could at least put a little thought into their posts. WDWfan36 was only asking for help on a word. What do I do, ignore her?

Actually I was complaining about you correcting on little letter in a word... not the whole word. You don't have to make a post every time someone spells the word grammar "grammer"... it's not the end of the world, and I don't correct every little tiny spelling error everyone makes. When someone spells a word wrong, as long as it sounds like the word, I'm sure everyone can understand it. Someone who spells grammar as "grammer", well I assume everyone can tell that the poster meant "grammar". Everyone makes mistakes, and people just have to learn from them. It's okay that you correct them on their first time, but if they keep spelling it wrong they can learn for themselves. Again, you can't make anyone or anything perfect.

I rewrite only the posts that are unreadable to anyone. You can learn more from what people say, so why just stop and say, "well I can't read it, oh well, too bad". That's why I rewrite those posts. It makes the post easier for everyone to read and understand.

I assumed WDWfan36 needed help with the word "definitely", so I only gave her the correct spelling. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I agree. I don't see a problem with that anyway. I usually say "woot woot" when we win a round or win the game.
