The NCIS Official Thread

Voices can be faked.
That's why i added that last sentence. Voices can be faked, or she could be lying and telling Tony what she figured he wanted to hear. I don't think she was though.

But far more to the point which I thought of while walking my dog: How would Ray have clearance for the Navy's MTAC:confused3

he wouldnt'

Farnel doesn't have access. it's not his devision so why would he have full access to another office's secure room?

NCIS didnt' have access to the secure room last night with all the files

Actually...he would---especially if working on a joint effort...

They did have access, just didn't have the "key card" (KTTW?:lmao:) because they don't work there regularly...

They couldn't be "kept out" and someone would have to let them in....particularly if pertinent to an active criminal investigation...as per the interrogation scene where a file was presented as "evidence"...

Farnel...well, there's a reason behind that...

Oh criminy, I'd forgotten about Stan, that would be good. My guess was Chad Dunham; what do you all think about him?

Kort & Fornell were on my short list until last night but I don't think either one had access to MTAC.

I like the new team; I'm not a TIVA shipper so I like Tony having a fling to shake things up a bit. I loved Alimi Ballard on Numb3rs so I'd be happy to see him stick around but I don't think they are keeping any of the new crew.

Keep the guesses coming!

I'm sure I'm not the only one looking at eye color while watching old episodes!

I'm not a TIVA shipper either (at the end of the series would be OK) but there was more chemistry between Tony and that wedding invitation than between Michael Weatherly and whoever plays EJ.

Plus, if you're a woman looking to kill a relationship with a guy like Tony, tell him coolly that he's afraid of his boss, and you aren't. Nothing like emasculation to fuel a man's passion. :lmao:

I don't agree at all. I think Tony and EJ are a great couple -- for once, Tony is paired with someone who (a) seems to understand him, (b) is honest with him and doesn't play games, and (c) isn't constantly trying to outdo him physically or intellectually. I think they have great chemistry. And I like who Tony is when he's with EJ.

I also don't agree about the "afraid of his boss" comment. EJ said, "You're afraid of him" and Tony replied, "Yup". Honest, matter-of-fact, not in any way embarrassed or emasculated. I don't think it did any damage whatsoever to Tony's passion for EJ.

Best scene of the night, though? Gibbs and Tony in the basement. Well written and beautifully acted.

:earsboy:

ohhh ok - i sort of remember him - kinda but that's a stretch if they make it him

Kort isn't in his 30's is he?

Suzanne - dont' hold out on us - spill it

Ok, on the May 7 episode, Tony's former partner from the Baltimore PD is going to be killed, they don't say whether it is linked to the P2P killer or not, though.

I don't like EJ, she just rubs me the wrong way. And she and her team, just don't seem to fit. To me they seem like a last minute thought. Will they be on next season?

I guess I don't remember Kort, right off.

When I say there's no chemistry, I'm not talking about the logic of the relationship. The two actors, together, do not 'click.' There is no spark between them.

And while Tony's reaction WAS very matter of fact, it was not true to his character's personality, or men in general.

Again ... don't agree. :goodvibes

I think the two actors work well together -- it's just maybe not a Tony we've gotten to see alot. Usually he's either leering or fumbling for words when it comes to women. It's nice to see him act the grown-up for a change. I've thought the two actors had chemistry since the shower scene. YMMV

I also think that his reaction WAS true to his character's personality. I think it shows growth in the character as well, which is nice. Three seasons ago, he'd be all, "I am NOT afraid of Gibbs! ... He's standing behind me, isn't he ...?" followed by a headslap. I think that the fact that he can simply admit it and say, "Yup", as in "Yeah ... he scares me ... but I'm not afraid of him" is a huge deal for Tony. He's finally figured out that he doesn't have to have Gibbs' approval for everything he does. It doesn't match the Tony we've seen in earlier seasons, but it certainly matches the Tony we've been seeing ever since Rivkin.

And I know lots of men who are afraid of their boss and not at all afraid to admit it!

She doesn't necessarily have to be lying; she also told Tony that she hasn't read the e-mails or listened to the voice mails. She'd think it's him because caller ID showed his phone.

But there are very few Latinos with blue eyes, and his were definitely brown on the last episode. It would have been really jarring for those of us who had just watched a Without a Trace rerun to see him with blue eyes!

While it's true that the producers could run an entire, "Oh, he's wearing colored contacts, and he's not really a Latino - it's all makeup & plastic surgery," it's not something that I could buy. If that's the story line, I'm done with the show.

I hated that scene! Tony saying to anyone, particularly to Gibbs, "My private life is just that - private"? The guy who has no boundaries??? Doesn't recognize the term "private"? Oh, please.

I guess maybe I'm seeing a change in Tony that others haven't seen yet. :confused3

The Tony of earlier seasons? Yes ... I'd agree with you. Tony now? Particularly since the Rivkin thing? Totally different guy. There's a huge difference between Tony poking Ziva for information about her boyfriend and Gibbs' passive-agressive anger at Tony sleeping with a co-worker. Gibbs couldn't care less who Ziva or Tim or anyone else dates, but he'll go all "silent treatment" on Tony because Tony is breaking a rule that only exists in Gibbs' mind. THAT's the difference to me.

Interesting how Gibbs didn't have an issue with dating someone he worked with when he was sleeping with Hollis Mann. EJ is no more part of Gibbs' team than Mann was. Yet it was okay for Gibbs and Mann to hook up, but not Tony and EJ? I'm on Tony's side on this one.

I just picked up reading a page or two back and missed the first episode with the eyeball. I have a couple of questions that you may or may not be able to answer. Or then again, you might have already discussed.

Didn't EJ have the job overseas that Tony passed on a couple of seasons ago?

Why was EJ and her team brought back?

Maybe EJ and her team are being investigated and it hasn't been revealed yet. Maybe that's why Gibbs doesn't want her and Tony to get involved. Gibbs is playing very quiet on the subject of EJ and her team. Wonder what's going on?

I'm not really 100% on this because I paid little attention to that episode, but I think EJ came in because she has been chasing the P2P killer from P2P and the 2 murders linked to P2P brought her to the area.

Why was EJ and her team brought back? She said why but i don't remember - i think the assignment was over

that's possible - Gibbs and Vance talk without us knowing so maybe

I agree, I like the growth the DiNozzo character had shown this season & the basement scene was spot on & beautifully done.

My guess is still Dunham...

He was La Grenouille's CIA handler. :thumbsup2

His eyes look more hazel to me.
