The Music of Disney May Exercise Challenge

    Welcome to the May 2019 exercise thread! This month we'll keep motivated with a daily musical Disney reward while we count our exercise minutes. I'll share a Disney song each day, and you post how many minutes you've exercised since you last checked in with our group.

    If you’re returning, we’re excited to have you back! If you’re new, welcome to the team! Here’s how it works:

    Each person chooses a time goal, and posts minutes towards that goal as they exercise. (You can post daily or just catch up when you can) You decide what movement counts towards your goal - which can be a nice round total for the month, a specific number that means something to you, or a calculation based on a target number of minutes per day.

    Since May has 31 days, here are some common conversions:
    15 minutes/day = 465
    20 minutes/day = 620
    30 minutes/day = 930
    45 minutes/day = 1395
    1 hour/day = 1860

    One of the special motivations of our Disney challenge is color changing! Page one will be updated with individual and team color changes as we make more and more progress.

    10% - Bravo Blue
    25% - Ovation Orange
    50% - Pat on the Back Purple
    75% - Perfect Pitch Pink
    90% - Rave Reviews Red
    100% - Glorious Green



    We’re officially starting this challenge on May 1st, but if you don’t find this thread until later in the month, you’re still welcome to join!! Just post your goal and I’ll add you to the list. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, and to check out old threads to see what’s been going on.

    Great theme! Though if there's guessing involved, I may do poorly again.

    This is the month of the big TDR trip and I'm anticipating quite a bit of walking, so I'm increasing my goal to 1600.

    I'm in again... need to get in shape for my June WDW trip so I'm going to bump my goal up to 930.

    Happy May Day, all! I'm so glad you've joined us. We have the entire month ahead of us, so let's start things off strong with a motivational song from Hercules:



    According to Oh My Disney, this song will "encourage you to stay focused on your goals, and remind you that you can achieve anything if you keep working at it."

    23 minutes done today unless i go for a walk later.

    Go the Distance is probably my favorite Disney song!! I love the whole Hercules soundtrack, actually!!

    I'm in this month for 880. I didnt quite finish last month, so I'll push myself to make up for it in May.

    A little under yesterday, due to getting a pedicure early evening then not being able to put shoes one while it dried (for me exercise = walking),
