The Movie Solaris

My husband and 20 year-old son went to see Solaris with George Clooney last night at a sneak preview. They said it was awful and wish they had not wasted their time. I cannot remember them ever saying that about ANY other movie they have seen, and we are big movie goers.

With the cost of movies these days, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

I heard the same thing on the radio this morning. They hated it.

Supposedly you do get to see George's behind in a few scenes though. The dj's were pretty sure the first one was a body double, because it was sooo nice.

For being a sci-fi movie i hear there isnt a wholel ot of sci-fi and i read the length is just over 90 minutes which is too short for a adult movie!!!!

Well, DH couldn't wait to see this one. I thought it might be decent as I like George Clooney.

Where do I begin? I like nearly ALL movies for one reason or another but this one, well, I fell asleep. Yep. Asleep. DH liked it. I found it BOORRRIINNNG, dull, insipid. There are a bunch of closeups of an actress I find far from attractive and not much dialog.

It reminded me a lot of the movie 2001, A Space Oddysey. There are only 4 characters and you only see two of them most of the time. I missed the point of the movie totally.

Sorry Mr. Soderburgh, you have made a lot of good movies but this is not one of them.
