My husband and I saw Adam yesterday. It's about a 29 year old man with Asperger's who suddenly finds himself living alone. I won't give too much away for those who want to see it, but I'll give my mini-review.
The actor, Hugh Dancy, pretty much had the Asperger's characteristics down. And the writer did a good job with his style of dialogue. Adam's area of interest is outer space and he would go on and on about it even when it was clear that the other person had had enough!
Our 14 year old son has Asperger's and we had to laugh a few times when Adam's behavior resembled our son's. In fact, we could tell who in the audience had experience with Asperger's because they tended to laugh at the same parts when other people didn't seem to get the irony.
Overall, we liked the movie, although we agreed with some critics regarding how the story played out between him and a neighbor (again, don't want to give too much away).
Did anyone else have a chance to see this movie yet? If so, what did you think?
