This is my very first pre-trip report, so I'll try to do it as best I can. I'm hoping that this will help me to mainly get all my "mice in a row", if you will.

Castmembers:

Me (just turned 30!!!) and Hubby (31)
I love Disney (who doesn't?!) I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to go as much as I did with my family. We camped for the most part and were able to spend weeks at a time in Disney. In 1997 I was introduced, through a friend, to a guy who drove the monorail we were married in 1999. Fast forward a few years to 2002, my husband was out of the service and we moved back home to help take care of my father. We planned a trip, but it fell through. In 2004 we planned a trip, and it fell through. In 2005, the same thing. But now, it's planned. We are going Jan 26 - Feb 9, it's sort of two belated celebrations rolled into one, my 30th birthday and our 8th wedding anniversary!!

In August, we purchased our PAP's, and a few weeks ago we made ressies at POFQ. We originally were going to stay at POP, but they came out with passholder rates and it only cost an extra $500 to upgrade. So we couldn't pass that up!!

We booked the Luau and the Hoop Dee Doo. And I'm considering purchasing the DDE card. I'm happy to see that you can now purchase it in Disney. :cutie: We are driving down from PA, so that should be fun (we love car trips!)
It's been so long since either of us has been there, it's going to be like seeing it for the first time. There are so many new and exciting things now!:woohoo:

Wow great start to your trip - we are in the 30 day countdown! You have lot's to celebrate - what a great place to do it at! :goodvibes

How sweet is that, that you married a man who used to drive the monorail.. I bet that was cool to see Epcot every day.. I love that park!

You guys will be there when we are there.. we will be there Jan25-Feb 9th.. We are soooo looking forward to this trip.. What a bummer that you guys have had to put the trip off several times, but think how much sweeter it will be..

Me and DD16 stayed at POFQ a few months ago and loved it! I bet you guys will too.. The rooms are so pretty.. me and DH want to go back on an adults only trip and stay there..

Cant wait to hear more!

I can't wait for our 30-day countdown, it will seem so surreal. When I visited with my family we always went during thanksgiving, so I got to see all the christmas decorations. But I can't imagine how terrific it is to actually be there for Christmas!!! It's twice the magic!!!:tinker:

Wow, you're the first person I saw on here that's going to be there when we will!! (I hope there aren't many more......it's not supposed to be crowded then!)
I was hoping to hear some good reviews of POFQ! The first place we lived once we were married was near New Orleans, so it all sort of ties together. Sorta cheesy, but that's us.

Okay......I'm thinking I'm going to be a total rebel and not make any of these ADRs, I keep reading about.

We are "fly by the seat of your pants" kinda people.....and really? thinking about where I want to eat on what day and at what time sort of makes my head want to explode. :headache: :scared1:

Anyone else decide to NOT make ADR's and still manage to eat?? Or am I gonna be stuck eating churros and mickey bars?

I've been spending so much time READING the boards, I've neglected to actually write anything. One of the reasons could be because I've planned nothing else so far. (If you haven't guessed yet, I'm sort of an "anti-planner") To me, if it's a vacation I put as little work into it as possible. I feel (and I know many disagree and I can respect that), that to spend so much time planning makes vacation more like work. I know when I'm going, how I'm getting there and where I'm staying.....what else do I need to know?

I realized last night that we will be there for Mardi Gras, this to me is like a double-edged sword. I think we will enjoy it because we did live on the Gulf coast for awhile, and it will certainly bring back some memories (especially since we are staying at POFQ), BUT I am a little concerned about "crowdage". LOL. I know, I know we are going to be there for two weeks, but I want the mouse all to myself!!!! (LOL) who doesn't

I guess that's enough for me right now, I'm sick....which is okay, because I'd rather be sick now than in Dis!
