Hi,

I will be taking my wife for her first time ever to WDW, I have been multiple times but never ate really at any of the restaurants inside the parks or at resorts, besides alfredos and brown derby. Right now I plan on going to the Contemp to watch the fireworks the day we arrive, and alfredos (friend we are going with really wants to eat there). Im looking to take her to a place that is totally disney (or you will only find this at Disney), it doesnt have to be with characters (although the princesses are her favorite). I just want her to walk in and say WOW!

Thank you again for all your input!

IF you are looking for more of an experience- I would say every girl should dine at CRT at least once in their life. Experience wonderful, food eh. IF you are looking for a lovely fine dining experience- Victoria And Alberts. If that is too pricey, I might suggest California Grill and see if you can get a table during Wishes. Those to me say the most WDW. In addition- if you wind up doing a meal for food rather than princesses, perhaps she would enjoy the Princess Storybook Meal in Norway.

Also- just so you know, Alfredo's is no longer there. It has been replaced by a lovely (although pricier) Tutto Italiano restaurant.

Princesses is 1900 Park Fair at the Grand Floridian. The food is great and the interaction and show are very nice! Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother and the step sisters are there... we have seen the miche there too, but not every time.

The New restuarant that took the place of Alfredos is
"TUTTO ITALIA". I read that it's good but pricey.
If you are on the Disney Dining Plan it is only 1 table service
credit. A good use of a TS Credit.
We will be trying "TUTTO ITALIA" on our upcoming trip and
we're very excited about it.
We will also be trying "Cinderella Royal Table" for dinner in
"The Castle" at Magic Kingdom because dinner is a little more geared
for Adults-even though Cinderella will greet you in the Lobby (take pictures with you-these pictures are included in the price of the package)
There is also "the Fairy Godmother" "Perla and Suzy--mice"
that do a little song for those eating. If you are on the DP this TS
meal will be 2 TS Credits.

For a totally Disney casual meal, check out the Sci-fi at DS.
You and your wife can sit in the car at the Drive-in...

Alfredos is no more. We are booked at the new place in July and it looks great! but just be aware it is different now.

For the big WOW go to Victoria and Alberts. hands down - the private aspect of it all is so special!

Our two favorite places to dine at WDW are California Grill & Jiko. Since you are going to be at the Contemporary for the fireworks you should see if you can get an ADR there. If you have never been over to the AKL go and visit and enjoy a wonderful meal at Jiko's.

Dining in the castle is a unique experience

Jiko is wonderful and the AK is just gorgeous to visit and walk around

Victoria and Alberts is the ultimate

Sci Fi is the most impressive Disney restaurant in regards to atmosphere, IMO
