Oh, I can't because I have only lived in Georgia in America and Port Elizabeth in South Africa. A few things are similar, but really not a lot.

Do you mean like left and right handed, left or right side of the brain, or the left and right in politics?

Left or right as in directions.

It is just a reference to position on maps. You can also refer to right & left in directions as East and West. The same would be for the directions up and down being North and South. That is my best answer.
