I'm curious.... what has been the most popular thread on the entire "Dis" board? Which one has had the most "replies", and which has had the most "views".

it was a classic that we've all tried to find in cyberspace. it was GREAT with lots of laughs and many funny stories.

Browneyes, I think it was in 2000. It had me in tears so many times. I remember a portion of it. Someone posted about a chubby woman wearing white spandex which were pretty much see through. They said she looked like a bratwurst. What was she thinking when she looked in the mirror? Damm I look good!

Yes that is where the corn thread originated. Seems some one had seen an Asian family on the steps of City Hall on Main St, eating corn our of a can. That post took on a life of it's own.

Oh, thanks for the info, wdw4us. Maybe that's why I don't remember it. I joined the DIS in August 2000, but didn't really get into DIS'ing until May or so 2001.

I'm not one to blow my own horn..but in this case I will.

My “guess the announcement” thread got over 700 replies and 30,000 views in 10 days. (thanks also to Pandy Paws)

Someone always seems to start a 'guess what the announcement is' thread. So let me start it this time.

Pete took away my first two guesses, the Disney buyout and the IPO. (someday Pete)

So I will try these:

1- Disney buys some advertisement space on the DIS.(big bucks)
2- Pete and John are interviewed on 20/20 by Barbara Walters. (don't let her make you cry Pete)
3- The Disney site has a link to 'The DIS'. (if you (disney) can't beat them join them)
