The Most Perfect Proposal Ever!

This proposal was staged as part of Disneyland's Summer Nighttastic promotion.

Doesn't stop the fact that EVERY guy should take note ;)

Thanks for clarifying that!

She did a darn good job looking surprised tho. Wonder if he was a CM in the promotions dept or something like that and the proposal really was real???

It reminds me of a story I read on somebody's CP blog here a few months ago..

Guy wants to propose to his Girl and so he sets up this whole room at some resort with cake and a line up of cast members and Winnie The Pooh is there because he's her favorite character...etc.

So they're all waiting and she comes BURSTING into the room visibly angered. Guy, gleefully oblivious, asks "will you marry me?" Girl says "No, I won't marry you! I don't want to see you again" Stomps out.

Winnie The Pooh comes over to Guy, pats him on the head and scurries away.

Sad? Yes. Magical? Absolutely not. Hilarious? Somewhat.

Same blog also mentioned one where a guy set it up with Disney so that he and his girl would get picked for "VIP" seating and meet & greet with Beauty and the Beast Stage show at Hollywood Studios as part of some contest. After the show, everyone lets out, and they bring both of them up on stage. She's taking pictures with the actors and actresses when one of their friends comes out playing the guitar. The guy proposes to her. She says yes. Happy happy happy.

The video was cute, but I can't help hoping that such things are always staged for the entertainment of bystanders. It is risky otherwise.

I used to work in a ballpark and witnessed some very public proposals. I saw a couple of women hesitating like they wanted to say no but knew that the crowd would hate them if they did so. I wondered if the women who said yes in front of the crowd took it back later in private.

Guys here take note that such proposals are sweet and can make you the hero of an extroverted girlfriend. However, please don't ask the question unless you really believe that you already know the answer, even if you have to let the girlfriend in on the secret so that the surprise is really for your family and friends.

Little peak "behind-the-magic" (I think that's the term we're using these days): it was completely and utterly staged.

The song and dance was arranged as a collaborative effort between Disneyland Resort Entertainment Operations, Disneyland Resort Public Relations and Yellow Shoes Marketing (also known by their more formal title: Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Marketing) in support of the Summer Nightastic! Special Event this past summer.
