The most magical trip

Hello Just been back from disneyland may the 16th from the most wonderfuld trip ever .
First trip report ever .
First I have to say I have been to wdw 6 times but it was my first disneyland trip.
Our trip began may 9th plane trip went without anu turbulence wich was great ( fear of plane ) and since this is a long way 7 hours that was good lol...
Arrive in long beach around noon we had rent a room at best western anheim inn first deception the hotel is quite old ,in great need of a nice makeover .
Dear husband as soon as he came in wanted to leave ,we tried to book at disneyland hotel with no sucess the nice lady had only one night available .
Well we decided on keeping best western ........

What can I say about disneyland just LOVEEEEEE It how close everything is
that you can change parks within minutes without buses ( as oppose to wdw)
the homey feeling ,all the rides different from wdw , just love that alladin show seen it twice ,goofy's kitchen WOW the inetraction with the characters is incredible the best I've ever been and let me tell you I have done quite a few ,and what about the weather just LOVEEEE IT also not a single drop of rain , no humidity ( wich florida has and a lot lol lol) .
Also the possibility of being able to go and eat elsewere on harbour blv.and go back to the parks .
The fireworks the best I have ever seen breathtaking , the parades at disneyland and also the block party bash witch is also worth seing in mio
Tried quite a few restaurants goofy's , ariel's grotto ,brekfast with lilo&stich
plazza inn , naples in dtd ( very good lasagna ) rainforest cafe ....none really dissapointed me .
Small world much better than wdw , matterhorn loved it , storybook canal
mr.toads ,california screaming ,
only one complaint tried the ferry wheels with the swinging cabin big mistake lol lol felt quite queasy for a while would't do it again .
One thing disneyland is missing is a nice big christmas boutique like florida wdw twelve days of christmas for those like me who loves disney christmas ornements .
Love the film at The first 50 magical years nice film .
What about the nice celebration of the opening day with WALT DISNEY'S voice saying TO ALL WHO'VE COMME TO THIS HAPPY PLACE WELCOME .
I,ve heard so much about disneyland on this forum and learn so much that once there it was as if i've already been there so thanks for all your tips .
Hope I didn't bore you .
Just felt in love with the most magical place on earth .

What a wonderful report! I am so glad it was magical for you. We, too, love Disney ornaments! They have moved the Christamas shop into Fantasyland. It used to be in New Orleans Square, but they wanted to make more Pirate stores! I hope you can come back at Christmas sometime. It is amazing!

For sure I would love to see disneyland at christmas ,but a bit unlikely since dh job's is at it's peek at that time of year but who knows.
But definetly I will go again as I say I felt in love with the place never tought I would prefer it to wdw but I would say I think it's now become my favorite disney vacation.
One thing I would go with most of you guy's favorite place candy cane since I was a bit dissapointed with the one I had chosen anyway it was still fantastick.

That sounds like such a wonderful trip! I think I might have to take the boys for a meal at Goofys. I was going to skip it this year since weve done so many in the past but after your review just might need to add ONE character meal!

This year is the first in many without an ornament store - those scalawag pirates took over the town.
