dh---a twenty something, extremely handsome, not so crazy about Disney man. Didn't care where we went on our honeymoon, so he let me pick!!! Has only had one other experience with taking a disney vacation, and was not at all impressed!

dw---that would be me!!!! a twenty something, highly energetic , disney freak that has been counting down the days till our beautiful wedding and magical honeymoon . Visited the World multiple times over my childhood and think it is by far the most incredible place in the world!!!!!!

Join me as I relive my magical first 10 days of marriage as we explore being married, the wonders of disney world, and our first vacation together!!!

Okay...i'll start this whole TR off with a little bit of background information .

Once upon a time, there were two 15 year olds who fell in love . They dated all throughout high school and decided to go to the same college together because they knew they were meant to be together. Once they came to college, they meet and fell in love with the Lord, and decided their relationship was the real deal...

about a year after that dh proposed ...and a few years after that we got married!!!!

A little note to everyone out there...weddings are A LOT of work!!! I of course realized that, and also realized that I would need a big reward after all that hard work!!! (besides of course being married to a wonderful man) Enter: DISNEY!!!!! I had always wanted to get married at Disney World, but once we realized how much that would cost , i decided against that and began to plan the most magical honeymoon ever!!!

We went to our travel agent about 9 months before the wedding and started hammering out all the details!!! We laughed about it later, but I knew more about what Disney had to offer and all the resorts and parks then the travel agent did....i might have a mild obsession

I new I wante to do a deluxe resort and was really leaning towards the yacht club (the last vacation I went on in 98', my family stayed there), but dh really wanted to stay somewhere neither of us had been before and really liked the animal kingdom lodge. After looking at it and going over the numbers, AKL was cheaper and looked really cool---so we went with it!!! (a decision that I will NEVER regret!!!)

So we opted for 9 nights, 10 days at the AKL with the dining plan! The whole dining plan thing was new to me (they didn't have that when I was little) so i got on the internet and started researching all about it and all it's perks---that's when i found this web site and the dis boards

For the next nine months I spent my time working hard planning a wedding, finishing up school, and dreaming of our magical honeymoon!!!!!!!! Before I knew it my wedding day was here!!! Our wedding wasn't until 6 o'clock so i spent the whole day with my mom and my girls just hanging out, getting ready, and having a perfect day!!! I actually completely forgot about our perfect honeymoon...I was so happy and excited just for the day that I really didn't care about anything else But as I was falling asleep that night with my wonderful husbands arms around me, a thought crossed my mind....I WAS GOING TO DISNEY WORLD TOMORROW!!!! I feel asleep that night with this perfect peace knowing that I was right where I was supposed to be...and that I was going to the most magical place on earth in less than 12 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's great to see your trip report is started! I have been waiting MONTHS to hear what a WDW honeymoon was like! I cannot wait to hear all about the fun and the magic! I bet it was the trip of a lifetime!

AND YES...please do post more pictures! I would love to see one of your dress (I am a wedding dress nut, I just love love love them). THANKS for starting this! I cannot wait to read more!
