The Mominator Vs. The Kinder Gentler Me...Go Read the TR!!!

Yeah, I had visions of us all the POFQ, meeting up for a nightly cocktail or 2 or 3 or 21!

Me too...sniff, sniff...but I'll tell ya I'm not abandoning the idea of a chick trip!:thumbsup2

I wanna say Everybody loves Raymond, but I think I'm wrong. :confused3

Yeah, um...NO...it was Mad About You

But thanks for playing our game!;)

I'm with you girl!! What I wouldn't give for a real "girls only" trip.

I'm telling you we NEED to do this...even if I have to lie and say I'm travelling for business...we NEED to do this!!

I'm sorry, but I think your DH is hilarious! I often wonder why he agreed to DVC if he's not that into it?? :lmao: Something tells me his arms were twisted like pretzels!! Just sayin' :rolleyes1

:lmao: You know he said to me not too long ago that I was just using him to get DVC and now I don't need him anymore!!:lmao:

Oh yeah, I lived with you for 7 years, married you, got pregnant, got cut in half like a magician's assistant, worked my butt off, got transferred so we could sell our house and buy DVC...

Yeah, I was just using you...Dork.

Awwww!!! See, he's trying! Hi Tony!

You crack me up! I am telling you he's secretly looking forward to August too!!

What a good looking guy! :goodvibes I just realized Leo, Maddie and Michael are all the same age!

See - it's fate..we were all MEANT to become friends!!:grouphug:

Wheelchair, my friend. Throw Tony in the chair and Michael on his lap! ;) :lmao:

:lmao: Now there's a mental picture!!!

Yeah, baby, yeah!!! I love the Mominator!!:woohoo:

Me too...I've missed myself!!pirate:

Ok, the baking scares me.... but the mini-van??? Ahem.... What's wrong with a mini-van, exactly?? :rolleyes1
Um...I'm sorry - I can't do a mini-van. In fact, I'm having it put in my will that even when I die, the funeral home is not, on no uncertain terms, to transport my fat butt in a mini-van!!!

Love you though!!

That last one sounds right...It totally sounds like a line from their show~

Mominator's and KGM's *can* merge successfully without the need for baking or a minivan. It takes a few years for the family to adapt, but they do...MwKGM's drive SUV's ;)

I've already talked to my friend Rose and my daughter about Disneyland. They understand that I intend to spend every minute I can conquering the two parks. Rose will have a car and can go off sightseeing or shopping or whatever she wants to do outside the "Land" with her daughter. DD said she'll be right by my side. That's my girl!

Yep - that's what it was...Mad About You!

Atta girl!! Your daughter's just like you!!:thumbsup2

DOH!!! How could i possibly have missed that? Mad About You was one of my most favorite shows ever! In my defense, I haven't seen it in years. Can I have a Get Out of Jail Free card this time?

:cheer2: Thank you Thank you Thank you :happytv:

Glad i could be of some service... eventhough it is about watching TV!!! My DH would be proud... he's the TV expert- imagine that!!:lmao:

Love your report!! We're in NC and i just can't seem to get my DH to understand the drive would not be THAT bad.... not that i want to ride with him and the 2 youngins for that long but it would save $$$$... for WHENEVER our next trip would be :rolleyes1

You can do it! We just drove from VA (11 hours) with no problems. We drove when we lived near Charlotte last year in 8 hours. We only flew when we lived in TX.
We DO have a minivan, DVD, and Nintendo which helps...!

thanks for the boost of encouragement.... we have a suburban but no DVD... we have rigged the laptop for trips before so that would be a possibility... but my DH is probably worse than the kids... he is NOT a good traveler... :scared:

10-11 hours... how bad could it be
 maybe he should fly and i will drive with the kids...

Of course dear....it was an off the wall one, not easy like the Guinea Pig is neither Italian nor pork....

It really isn't a bad drive...you can stop at SOB

I think it took us about 10 hrs (from Greenville) and we stopped and had a sit down meal at places like Ruby Tuesday, Texas Steakhouse and had at least one potty/smoke break per state, so it wouldn't take you guys long. Get DH his own little portable DVD player and pack some "Guy Movies" for the ride...Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, etc...

I haven't eaten there so I'm no help.

I'd really like to try Flying Fish and then Jellyrolls for a date night in January though. I had that planned for December, but we had to cancel...Michael was sick.

I'm thinking of Spoodles in place of Teppanyaki. I read Zzubs latest installment and Teppan gave him the fo' shizzles!! Can't have that in WDW and I don't want to take a chance! I thought the Spoodles menu looked interesting, but then again, I loves me the mediterranean food!

Mothers Always Bring Extra Love!

Good one! :thumbsup2

Here's a little more MAY trivia for ya's...

In one episode, a character asks if they saw the movie about those aliens that burst from people's chests (the Alien movies), and Paul Reiser says, "Only the first one." Reiser starred in Aliens (1986), the second movie in this series.

I plan on keeping this up till LL comes back with an update :rolleyes1

I loved that show, too, until the last season. Then, I just got sad... Is it unhealthy to be so upset by fictional characters? :)

On another note, I live in NH, but all our family is in IL. I make the 18 hour drive to IL 2 or 3 times a year with twins who will be 5 tomorrow! The DVD player is a godsend, and the only reason I can do it. Of course, once they are in "real school" next fall, we probably won't have time and will have to start flying more, just because we can't take 4 days to drive round trip. But, really, driving isn't that bad if you have movies.

that's a thought... but wonder if i could just tie him to the top. he could just bang on the roof of the car when he had to potty... like twice in each state :rotfl:

10 hours is not too bad... i 'll have to get DD(8) and DS alsmost 6 to get to work on him. he still saying "we're not going for 5 years" :lmao: i just don't think we can wait that long :hourglass

And so, we continue “flashing back” to go forward…

Now we have a reservation for 6 nights in a studio at SSR. All’s well, right?

Ummmm….Nope.

DH has been stewing over this...it's obvious even to the untrained eye. We continue to have these conversations about using 100 points for a week in a studio vs. 100 points for 2 weekend nights in a 1BR.

I can see it brewing...here it comes...the tantrum!

:headache: I paid for a 1BR, I want to stay in a 1BR!!!

Me - (Big, heavy sigh)...Ok - let me try and explain this AGAIN...So off I go, explaining or re-telling the past...we used 2 years worth of points to stay at the stinkin' Poly...REMEMBER? Then we went for 4 days in January. REMEMBER? Then I booked the trip for April...remember? Well, since it's a lot more points, I had to borrow some from next year. Well, I cancelled April and now the points are stuck in this use year, which expires 8/31.

This time we're going in August, which again is more points that we have - so we're staying in a studio.

Ya wit' me?

DH - Why can't I stay in a 1BR?

Me - OMG - is this thing on?? Can you hear me?? Without borrowing into 2008's points, we can not...that's right, I said CAN NOT stay in a 1BR. And we're not borrowing points. We'll use up what we have and let 'em sit.

DH - I bought a 1BR...This is....(BLEEP)...I want to stay in a 1BR...

Me - Ok, fine...let's add on. Obviously we don't have enough points...let's buy more...

After that his head spun around and around and started smoking...I left - couldn't watch this scene any more. :sad2:

As I exit the room, he yells that we can't go unless he stays in a 1BR. Yeah, whatever.

Well, we can stay for SIX days instead of 3. FINALLY...he he comes to his senses about the whole 3 or 6 day stay and tells me that we can stay for 6 days...BUT I have to come up with a way to pay for it.

Yeah, fine. Whatever. :confused3

So YAY!! I've got 6 nights now instead of coming down on Friday night and leaving Sunday or Monday! :woohoo:

(Quick break to the present tense...DH flipped his wig the other day when I mentioned staying in a studio...Dope.:rolleyes1 See...he never listens to me!)

Ok, got my dates all set, August 21 thru the 27th...put in my room request...DTD view in Congress Park PLEASE!!!

Up next...the 2007-2008 school calendar arrives...

Excueese me?? Baking powder? The first day of school is when????
