The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Great photos of DeVine! (Sorry Judy!) I have never seen her. I will be on the lookout for her when we go to Disney next year. Super photos of the animals too, even if they wouldn’t cooperate; the meerkat who wouldn’t look at the camera, the okapi with it’s mouth open, the hippo who blinked when you pressed the shutter button, and the nerve of that gorilla mooning you! :rotfl:

:rotfl2:Thanks Rozz, I hadn't put it all together like that. As a group, they were pretty darned obstinate weren't they?!

That story about Sharon Stone's husband and the dragon is nuts! I find it very strange that anyone thought being barefoot would be a better idea than wearing white shoes, mouse-resemblance notwithstanding.

Great bats! (That sounds like an exclamatory expression of some sort, doesn't it?) I love them, too, which I'm pretty sure we've discussed before...last time I was there, though, they actually freaked me out a little. This one bat was going nuts, squawking and moving really fast along the rope, heading right for my head!

Maybe she shouldn't have painted his toes with little smiley faces on them. :) Just kidding.

Here's a link to an article on it. Komodo Dragon vs. Sharon Stone's Hubby It occurred back in 2001.

Why, yes it does actually.

Yikes! Okay, now this reminds me of another celebrity/animal encounter at a theme park. This time, Fabio and the goose.

It's funny how he keeps his display directed toward her, wherever she walks.

It is like he is saying- Hey babe " I've got my "eye" on you. Look at me, look at what I can do, I can do it and spin, I do it all for you."

Hi, Glen. First I want to wish you and all your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Second, sorry I'm late on the update (been super busy at work and running around in the evening). It's a great one as always -- and I really enjoyed all of the Photopass pictures...they turned out great.

Happy Thanksgiving to Glenn and to everyone who is posting to this thread.

You too

Glen hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.

My computer has been giving me troubles so I had to read three updates. I tried the "count the Judy" game and only came up with 9, gotta go back and see which one I missed.

I think I saw that same program about the dragon too. They creep me out too.
Great shots of the gorillas though.

I'm so excited we leave in 4 days! Last time we were there only had 1/2 day at AK so we can do more things this time around

Some people in the US will also get Friday off so it is a really long weekend. I don't think our founding fathers had given that any thought but when President F D Roosevelt fixed it on the 4th Thursday in Nov. i think he had it in mind for an extra long weekend making Friday, Black Friday to boost the economy.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been absent for a day or two. The kids and Judy had a partial day of school yesterday, so I was tasked with running errands and other domestic activities. :laundy:

Then, in the evening, we drove over the river and through the woods and now we're at Gramma's house (well, the kids' gramma anyway). So, I'm DISing on her computer.

"My, Grandma, what a big screen resolution you have."

"The better to e-mail you with, my dear."

Okay, well, enough of that. But I do want to wish everyone out there a

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

He does look like that. Good thing the human species is above all of that. ;)

Hi, Glen. First I want to wish you and all your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thank you! I wish you the same Kathy. Enjoy some family time.

Thank you. No problem, I'm a little late on replies too.

Happy Thanksgiving to Glenn and to everyone who is posting to this thread.

Hey, thanks! And :welcome: WDWisTheBest! What a nice first post on this thread. I appreciate it!

Glen hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.

Thanks Lauara. I wish the same for you and your family also.

Sorry to hear about your computer woes...they can be a pain. The trickier Judy to find is in the 2nd picture, with the 2 buildings in Africa. She's in front of Marlene, and partially obscured. (A perfect picture for this game!)

I think I saw that same program about the dragon too. They creep me out too.
Great shots of the gorillas though.

I wish I knew what show that was....a few of us posting here saw it at some point. It was pretty interesting.

Thanks.

Oh, how exciting! Have a great trip! Let us know if you start a trip report.

Hey Yuki! I see Pat's answered your question, but yep, you've got it right. My employer gives us both Thursday and Friday as holidays, plus I took Wednesday off.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING GLENN!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jenbear! I just realized that I missed yours. :guilty: Well, Happy Thanksgiving 2011, a little early!

Thanks for answering Yuki, Pat. FDR always had the economy in mind. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Thanks Rosie! You too! Love the pilgrim Mickey.

Happy Thanksgiving Glenn!

Thank you Magdalene!

Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for another funny update with wonderful pictures. And I am shaking my head, and probably will be for some time, at the number of things we missed when went to AK for the first time last year. Clearly, we are going to have a lot to make up for this year!

Wow, you pretty much get most of the week off! Hope you're having a great thanksgiving

Yes, how dare you be absent from the DIS for so long! :snooty:

:lmao: Love it!

Thanks Jenbear! I just realized that I missed yours. :guilty: Well, Happy Thanksgiving 2011, a little early!

That's okay. You've covered yourself for next year

Morning Glenn! Where have you disappeared to? Are you still recovering from all that turkey you've been eating? :rotfl:

Thank you Tina! I'm glad my trip report has given you some ideas for your next visit to Animal Kingdom. (I don't think we realized that Maharajah Trek was there until our 3rd visit.)

Thanks Yuki. Yep, and I took today off to do some Christmas shopping. Back to the grind tomorrow though.

 Me too.

Yes, how dare you be absent from the DIS for so long! :snooty:

Sorry!

:yay:

That's okay. You've covered yourself for next year

Hey, for once I'm ahead of the game! :cool1:

Morning Glenn! Where have you disappeared to? Are you still recovering from all that turkey you've been eating? :rotfl:

Yes, I've recovered...but there wasn't any school today, so it gave Judy and I a chance to go shopping. In the past, I've always taken a day off so that we could go shopping during the week without the kids and without the crowds. But now that Judy's teaching, it's been pretty hard to find such a day. It was actually quite productive. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Glenn that actually makes me feel much better. :thumbsup2
