I have heard tales of the Melvin the Moose Breakfast with Chip and Dale that used to take place at Pioneer Hall, but the reports have always been fuzzy on the details.

Today, while I was looking for something else, I stumbled upon a great report about Melvin the Moose, and I thought I would share. This page has lots of information, and great photos. Check it out:

That's great! I gots to get me one of those kazoos!!

And that price...$10 for adults for an all you can eat breakfast show?? That $10 in 1986 is equal to $19.69 in 2009 according to the government's inflation calculator website. I bet if Disney were to create that show today they would charge $35.99 for adults and $26.99 for children. And according to the flyer, Disney considered children to be 3-11 back then. Today they become paying adults in Disney's eyes two years earlier! I'm waiting for the day when they start charging for 2 year olds.

I wonder where melvin is now.

Me too.

And you know, there is a side door that goes into Pioneer Hall right by the drink machine in Trail's End.

And, during the day, there usually is no one around keeping an eye on things . . .

And, that door is never locked . . .

And, I have never been backstage at Pioneer Hall . . .

I wonder if Melvin is back there?

There's only one way to find out. ;)

and . . . maybe I can find some old kazoos. I will need at least two, one for me, and one for Dave.

A musket Mickey kazoo?? For me?? I would be forever indebted to you. My kazoo and I would even be willing to come over to your site and provide the happy hour entertainment for your family.

Second guessing your plan to get me a kazoo now?

I've never heard of this. What an awesome find. I would have liked to have seen it just for the novelty of it.

Given the crappy meals at the Fort lately (other than HDDR) if it were reincarnated and a half-way decent show, it might have another good run!

Bama ED popcorn::

Great find! We would so go to this if they reincarnated it. How hard could it be??? Melvin's gotta be back there somewhere. TCD will find him, I'm sure! Then get a few more CMs to do the show and you're back in business.

Throw a princess in there and everyone would be booking at the first possible second 3 years out (or whatever it takes ot get the castle...I'm so happy I have a son!)

I will be there Oct. 15th-18th. Maybe I can create a diversion of some sort while you sneak in........(but I would need one of those kazoos as compensation).

Wow.

I forgot all about that show. I went with my folks and younger sister in 1986 and 88. The kazoos got real anoying by lunch time.
