I had been planning this trip since we returned in Dec of 1998 - knowing we would go back in two years. We had such good weather and crowds were so low the first week of Dec we decided to go at the exact same time. We had decided to ask my mom and dad to come.
My brother and sister in law own a timeshare at Disney and were planning on going in October this year, so we asked my mom and dad to come with us. All of us had gone at the same time in 1998. We then decide to ask my Father in Law to come with us also, as he had just recently retired and had never been.
In September, my sister in law Peggy had to have surgery so they needed to postpone their October trip. The only week available at their condo was the same week we were all going. So once again, we will have a large group, but we were pretty excited to be able to go together again.
We finally decided on Dixie Landings and booked our room through Dreams Unlimited (they were able to get me a MKD discount while my regular travel agent wasn't). We bought airfare back in the spring and then I just had to wait (and drive my husband nuts) for the next 8 months. I had been visiting the DIS since just before our last trip, but during this last 8 months I got every bit of information I could from these wonderful boards and had hopefully planned a wonderful vacation as everything was pretty much left to me. On with the showâ¦â¦.
