CONT...
Alright. I left off at the KTTK tour as we were getting ready to go through Adventure Land.
When we got in there, they had us sit down in the seating area right outside of Aloha Isle. Man I was tempted to go grab dole whip LOL. In there Fred told us more about Walt. How people thought he was crazy for the ideas of
Disneyland. Walt is seriously an amazing person. He never gave up on his dreams. Such an inspiration.
Fred also told us how Walt wanted to name Mickey Mouse, Mortimer. His wife Lillian put a stop to that HAHA. She told him Mortimer was an awful name! I thought that was a cute little story.
After that, they had us go on a potty break, then we headed to The Jungle Cruise. I was looking forward to going on this, I hadn't been on in a while.
Fred told us some things about the ride.. here are some pics
This is the other half of the plane that is in The Backlot Tour in DHS. Oh and if you look closely you can see a hidden mickey.
Fred told us at one part when you hear the people singing or doing their chants or whatever, you can hear one of the guys say "I love Disco!" You have to listen closely LOL!
When you exit the Jungle Cruise, look to your right and read the names that are on the board. They are really cute, and will make you laugh when you read the names out loud.
After Jungle Cruise, we got to go on POTC!! YAY!!
We stood outside for a couple minutes and learned some things about the ride, like how the animatronics work.
We stood near this, I have never really noticed it, it's really pretty. Would make a great photopass spot.
We all went on, sat in the front with Fred, and when we went down the drop, for the first time Tim and I got wet LOL. We never get wet on Pirates. Fred said that when you go down the drop, you are going back in time. That is why you see the pirates skeletons before you go down the drop.
It was cool, we learned a couple of facts. Some we knew, some we didn't. Fred pointed out a hidden mickey to us at the end of the ride. There are little mickeys on the bottom of the lanterns near Jack Sparrow with all the treasure.
I think after that we went backstage in frontier land. Backstage was cool. We learned about the trash system, and went and looked at some of the parade floats. When we were inside learning about the floats, the big present float drove by and said "Look, I am the box." LOL OMG I lost it. It was so funny. Too cute. We saw something that freaked Tim out. Goofy walking around holding his head LOL!!!! Tim was traumatized HAHAHAAH!! I thought it was funny.
It was almost time for lunch so we made our way to The Columbia Harbour House. I forgot to tell you guys that when you check in, they take your order.
Before heading into lunch, we talked about The Hall of Presidents. You know I have not been in there forever, so I'm looking forward to checking it out when it opens again.
We stood by this tree while Fred was talking.
If you look closely you can see some lanterns, there are 13 of them for the Original 13 Colonies.
Ok time for lunch. It is so cute inside the Columbia Harbour House. We got to sit upstairs, and had our own section to sit in. I got the chicken nuggets, and I forget what Tim had. I think he had the tuna sandwich. It was all good. When you get in they have your food and everything set up already, and that is when you get your KTTK pin. Tim was freaking out lol. While we were eating I went and made a phone call to Disney Dining. We had a reservation at Jiko that night, but we wanted to stay at the Magic Kingdom because it was such a nice day there, we wanted to eat somewhere near the MK. The crowds were great, not crowded at all, so I figured it would be a great night to watch Wishes. So I called to see if Kona had anything available, they didn't, and then I thought of The Wave. I have read great things about it on the DIS, and it was new so I figured we could give it a try. Really glad we did because it is one of our new favorite restaurants.
Ok so after lunch we went on The Haunted Mansion!! WOO HOO!!!
Fred told us that if you look near the entrance, the pillars look like caskets. I never realized that LOL.
So we went in and took the back way in. Pretty cool.
I didn't really learn anything too new about the ride. I love HM so I know a lot about it. Oh one thing I did learn was about the bride. When you get to her scene in the mansion you will notice that she gets married a couple times. Well each time she kills her husband, she moves up in society. You will notice in each picture she has more jewelry on each time.
Also the roses outside the mansion are blood roses.
OK so after the mansion we headed back towards Main St and went underground. It is really cool under there. You learn about how the CMs come to work, costuming, and how the CMs are supposed to look.
We passed the Pin replenishment station under there haha. Tim was in his glory lol!
SO that was pretty much it on the tour. It's cool! I just loved how much you got to learn about Walt on this tour. He truly is an inspiration.
I had to get my picture with Fred, he reminded me so much of my Pop Pop.
After the tour, we went into guest services. I had a reservation at The Wave at like 7, but I wanted to see if they had anything earlier, and they did!! They had a 5 opening so YAY! We took it.
When we got out, some of the characters were out. I got in line to get my pic with Daisy!
Next, I hopped in Pluto's line...while waiting though, I noticed Mary Poppins! Ahh, I got out of Pluto's line and hopped in her line lol. I love Mary Poppins costume, it's so pretty. This Mary Poppins was gorgeous. She made a good one.
I got back in line for Pluto, while I was waiting I heard Tim call my name, he was taking my picture. HAHA look at me in line with all the kids LOL.
So yeah I never got my picture with him, something happened to the photopass camera so I left. Didn't feel like waiting lol.
It was time to go get some Dole Whips!!!
