The MAY freaks! Celebrating 1 year of marriage! PTR STARTED!!

Tim, your kids can't hate Disney because we are all going to go on family vacations together..:lmao:

I love the braid in your hair.

Ditto on that! How on earth do you do your own hair that well? Whenever I try to braid my hair I get confused when I look in the mirror! :rotfl:

UP was amazing! I loved it so much. I teared up during the first 10 minutes of the movie though. Ugh, it was so sad!!

Just joining in. I just went on the KTTK tour in April when on my ladies trip. It was a fabulous tour, loved it! Also, loved seeing your Illuminations pics.....my favorite. Great trip report so far.

Hi! Oh that must have been so much fun! Yes it was a nice tour. Thanks for reading!

Lynn and Tim thank you so much for your trip reports. Our first trip was May 2008 and we had the most magical time. Our kids were 7 and 9 and we had a great time. Hopefully we'll make it back in a couple years.

I love the "trip" you took us on down main st. There is so much to see!! As first timers though we just wanted to get to the castle.

Your children will be so lucky to have Disney "experts" for parents.

Oh cool!! May 2008 was such a nice time to go! Were you able to do P&PP!! I loved it, and loved the year of a million dreams!!! So much fun.

Yeah it's nice after you go a couple of times because you can just walk around and smell the roses. It's great.

Aww yeah they will be lucky, hopefully they love it as much as we do lol.

Haha yeah it's cool being married to her, she always has the inside scoop on everything. I always tease her though saying it would be funny if our kids couldn't stand Disney lol.

Ahh Oh gosh don't say that lol!!

I enjoy your trip reports so much Lynn. Love your pictures I think they are better than the photopass pics! I'm glad you guys had a great time , Congrats on your anniversary ! Enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast. :flower3:

Hi. Thank you very much. Oh I know, time does fly by. It's so true, you have to cherish and enjoy every moment. Life's too short.

I don't think there will be much chance of that!! You may as well buy dvc now.

HAHA Yeah I don't think there will be. We have DVC so our kids are all good lol.

Tim, your kids can't hate Disney because we are all going to go on family vacations together..:lmao:

HAHAHA so true lol.

Ditto on that! How on earth do you do your own hair that well? Whenever I try to braid my hair I get confused when I look in the mirror! :rotfl:

It took a lot of practice to get used to doing this hair lol. When I was younger, and had no clue how to do hair, I had fros all the time lol.

Right now I'm doing hair so that helps lol.

UP was amazing! I loved it so much. I teared up during the first 10 minutes of the movie though. Ugh, it was so sad!!

Aww I know!!!!

Oh man! I loved it too!! Did you see it in 3d?

No cause Tim is boring and didn't want to haha.

CONT...

Alright. I left off at the KTTK tour as we were getting ready to go through Adventure Land.

031.jpg

When we got in there, they had us sit down in the seating area right outside of Aloha Isle. Man I was tempted to go grab dole whip LOL. In there Fred told us more about Walt. How people thought he was crazy for the ideas of Disneyland. Walt is seriously an amazing person. He never gave up on his dreams. Such an inspiration.

Fred also told us how Walt wanted to name Mickey Mouse, Mortimer. His wife Lillian put a stop to that HAHA. She told him Mortimer was an awful name! I thought that was a cute little story.

After that, they had us go on a potty break, then we headed to The Jungle Cruise. I was looking forward to going on this, I hadn't been on in a while.

Fred told us some things about the ride.. here are some pics

034-2.jpg

This is the other half of the plane that is in The Backlot Tour in DHS. Oh and if you look closely you can see a hidden mickey.
036-1.jpg

Fred told us at one part when you hear the people singing or doing their chants or whatever, you can hear one of the guys say "I love Disco!" You have to listen closely LOL!

When you exit the Jungle Cruise, look to your right and read the names that are on the board. They are really cute, and will make you laugh when you read the names out loud.

After Jungle Cruise, we got to go on POTC!! YAY!!

037-1.jpg

We stood outside for a couple minutes and learned some things about the ride, like how the animatronics work.

We stood near this, I have never really noticed it, it's really pretty. Would make a great photopass spot.

038-2.jpg

We all went on, sat in the front with Fred, and when we went down the drop, for the first time Tim and I got wet LOL. We never get wet on Pirates. Fred said that when you go down the drop, you are going back in time. That is why you see the pirates skeletons before you go down the drop.

It was cool, we learned a couple of facts. Some we knew, some we didn't. Fred pointed out a hidden mickey to us at the end of the ride. There are little mickeys on the bottom of the lanterns near Jack Sparrow with all the treasure.

I think after that we went backstage in frontier land. Backstage was cool. We learned about the trash system, and went and looked at some of the parade floats. When we were inside learning about the floats, the big present float drove by and said "Look, I am the box." LOL OMG I lost it. It was so funny. Too cute. We saw something that freaked Tim out. Goofy walking around holding his head LOL!!!! Tim was traumatized HAHAHAAH!! I thought it was funny.

It was almost time for lunch so we made our way to The Columbia Harbour House. I forgot to tell you guys that when you check in, they take your order.

Before heading into lunch, we talked about The Hall of Presidents. You know I have not been in there forever, so I'm looking forward to checking it out when it opens again.

We stood by this tree while Fred was talking.
039-2.jpg

If you look closely you can see some lanterns, there are 13 of them for the Original 13 Colonies.

Ok time for lunch. It is so cute inside the Columbia Harbour House. We got to sit upstairs, and had our own section to sit in. I got the chicken nuggets, and I forget what Tim had. I think he had the tuna sandwich. It was all good. When you get in they have your food and everything set up already, and that is when you get your KTTK pin. Tim was freaking out lol. While we were eating I went and made a phone call to Disney Dining. We had a reservation at Jiko that night, but we wanted to stay at the Magic Kingdom because it was such a nice day there, we wanted to eat somewhere near the MK. The crowds were great, not crowded at all, so I figured it would be a great night to watch Wishes. So I called to see if Kona had anything available, they didn't, and then I thought of The Wave. I have read great things about it on the DIS, and it was new so I figured we could give it a try. Really glad we did because it is one of our new favorite restaurants.

Ok so after lunch we went on The Haunted Mansion!! WOO HOO!!!
040-3.jpg

Fred told us that if you look near the entrance, the pillars look like caskets. I never realized that LOL.
041-2.jpg

So we went in and took the back way in. Pretty cool.

I didn't really learn anything too new about the ride. I love HM so I know a lot about it. Oh one thing I did learn was about the bride. When you get to her scene in the mansion you will notice that she gets married a couple times. Well each time she kills her husband, she moves up in society. You will notice in each picture she has more jewelry on each time.

Also the roses outside the mansion are blood roses.

OK so after the mansion we headed back towards Main St and went underground. It is really cool under there. You learn about how the CMs come to work, costuming, and how the CMs are supposed to look.

We passed the Pin replenishment station under there haha. Tim was in his glory lol!

SO that was pretty much it on the tour. It's cool! I just loved how much you got to learn about Walt on this tour. He truly is an inspiration.

I had to get my picture with Fred, he reminded me so much of my Pop Pop.
042.jpg

After the tour, we went into guest services. I had a reservation at The Wave at like 7, but I wanted to see if they had anything earlier, and they did!! They had a 5 opening so YAY! We took it.

When we got out, some of the characters were out. I got in line to get my pic with Daisy!

Next, I hopped in Pluto's line...while waiting though, I noticed Mary Poppins! Ahh, I got out of Pluto's line and hopped in her line lol. I love Mary Poppins costume, it's so pretty. This Mary Poppins was gorgeous. She made a good one.
044-2.jpg

045-1.jpg

I got back in line for Pluto, while I was waiting I heard Tim call my name, he was taking my picture. HAHA look at me in line with all the kids LOL.
046.jpg

So yeah I never got my picture with him, something happened to the photopass camera so I left. Didn't feel like waiting lol.

It was time to go get some Dole Whips!!!

CONT.....

Oh.. What a nice update.. The tour sounds really interesting.. I can't wait to give it try.

I love your photo with Daisy!!:cutie:

The kTTK tour looks like it was a blast! We might have to do that sometime! I love marry poppins too! I have yet to meet a "bad" mary poppins they always fill her role really well! I haven't heard much about the wave so I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it! :thumbsup2

No cause Tim is boring and didn't want to haha.

Hahaha...as much as you have provided me with an opportune moment to give Tim crap for being boring, I must confess that I didn't really think it was worth it in 3d. It wasn't one of those amazing 3d movies, ya know? It was nice, but not worth the extra money. So I guess borin' ol' Tim was right about something! :rotfl:

I just caught up with your TR! Thanks so much for sharing about TKKT. I so want to do that on our next trip (whenever that might be). I can't wait to read more!

Lynn,
Thanks for the tour!! It looked like fun...something to try in my future!! Fred seemed like a good tour guide!

I can't wait to hear all about The Wave, hoping for a September ressie...14 more days until I can book my ADR's! YAY!:cool1:

The pic of you in line in cute with all the kids and the one with Mary Poppins is really nice, she was a pretty Mary!!:goodvibes

I AGREE! I like your pictures WAY BETTER than the photopass pictures!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Very cool tour! And the pics! your camera is awesome!!! I loved all that you learned and remembered on here.... all the information and detail Disney puts into everything... like the 13 lanterns for the 13 Colonies... HOW COOL!

KTTK looks great Lynn but I have to confess I just quickly looked at the photos as I dont want to spoil it when we do the tour

Wow, the KTTK Tour sounds like it was a lot of fun! That's so cool they took you on some rides tot ell you about them!

Ahhh, Goofy without his head on?! I would've been traumatized too!

The tour looks awesome! It's cool to learn some of the little ins and outs of how things work.
