The Mavericks (music) WOO-HOO

The Mavericks, which most people have never heard of, is my all time FAVORITE band. I just found out that they are back together and touring. Oh my gosh! Why didn't I hear this sooner????? I'm so excited right now. They will have a new album out in September! AHHHH!!!! But I don't know anything else about it.

Anyone else here like them or even know who they are? I would love to find out more about this album. I guess this one will still be in the country section. I just saw that they are going to be in Virginia on October 8th. Why that day????? Oh my. I've been having withdrawals for so long. I thought I'd never get to see my little Robert and Raul and Paul together again. Dang. I can't go see them that day. :out, pout, pout:: I hope they will be around another day I can go. Why on earth do people do concerts in the middle of the week?

Yes, I know I am rambling on. But I am just SO excited. They make me so happy. Here is one you can all relate to - they make me as happy as WDW!!!!! Now that's a biggie!!!!!!!!!!!

MICHELLE!!!! How cool is that! Thank you so much for posting this. I just said to my mom about 3 days ago that I wish the Mavericks would put out a new album! Hurray!!!

Raul has one of the sexiest voices. Two of my favorite songs of their's are "Here Comes the Rain" and " Oh What A Cryin' Shame".

I love their music!

YEAH!!!!! MICHELLE, you've made me so happy! Now I'm even more excited since I've found another fan!!!!! Sept 23 is the release date. Oh my, I just don't know if I will be able to handle that week. That day a new CD will be out by The Mavs then the 26th and 28th I'll be seeing Matchbox Twenty again. WOW. That's one heck of a week.

You know, I just noticed that I said "album" in my first post instead of CD.

Oh I just LOVE to hear Raul sing. I've always told my husband that the very best thing you could do is lock me in a room with Raul singing to me. That would be better than even the best chocolate or anything else!!!!!!

I'm going to have to scan all of my old pics and try to share some with you.

Robert is my favorite in the band though. He is such a sweetheart! I love him so much. He even got to the point where he would remember me. Maybe he just remembered me because he thought I was crazy. hehe

My husband tells me that every time I see him he would kiss me on the cheek. I swear I don't remember that part at all! I think I've met him about 5 times.

I like to plan ahead. So I was thinking about the 23rd when the new CD comes out. I HAVE to buy them the day they come out. I just can't wait. Anyway, Tuesday's are my day to answer the phone while everyone else is in devotions. So I'm trying to figure out if I should try to get someone to switch days with me. OR should I have my husband go pick it up for me and bring it to me at work? See tough decisions. He probably will have to go into work later than me so it won't bother his work schedule. But he likes them too and he will want to open it and listen to it first. Nope, I just can't have that.

I love the Mavericks too . It's been a while since I have listened to Country music (I'm an NPR girl now), but we have 2 of their CDs in our CD jukebox/player right now .
