The Magic, The Mouse and Everything Else! PTR

Can you tell me when you booked your Dec flights & the cost ty

I am a super planner so had been researching prices for flights more than a year beforehand :surfweb: We were originally going to fly out around the 10th of December returning mid January. The average flight prices for this peak time for Brisbane to Orlando was between $8300 and $10300 for our family of 4. I was checking flights daily in the lead up to them being released and managed to book them for $6288! I booked them on the 3rd of February.

We have free dining for our 2nd stay at WDW but it wasn't available for the 1st stay. They did release a room discount but Dh forget to call up and get it applied to our existing booking so we missed out :(

Great deal on the airfares. Late jan/ Feb is when I thought I would book ours for next December so this seems to line up good.

We got the free dining last time in WDW. We had never been to WDW so obviously never had the dining plan before. We thought it was good, but for us I think we would have come out better financially if we took the discounted room and just paid for the food we ate. We found on the plan we were eating more than we really would have normally bought because of what was included in the plan. That was just our take on it and I understand its different for each family.

Same with us, never heard of free dining lol, until I was going through these boards & tripadvisor.
I thought it was amazing to get free food, but I guess Disney make so much money they can afford to do it.
Agree though , it was a lot of food, we only got the quick service for free, but it was great not having to pay for our food, we just ate at a couple of table service places and paid for it.
For some reason none of us were ever "hungry" when we were there, cant put my finger on it, might have been the excitement!!!
I think if you are staying at the resorts that are not value, the room discount is probably better if you want to pay for your food.
I am hoping though they continue with it & it falls into our dates lol

Hello. I've been so busy with the DCL threads I did not even look elsewhere and found you guys just now.

I am a mother of 3 princesses and in 8 days we embark on our Disney voyage. I started planning last year and booked our Disney Cruise 577 days out. Our trip goes for 8 weeks starting with a week in NY for Thanksgiving, and the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, a short DC trip included, then a week in the Fantasy from Orlando. We'll have another 12 days in Orlando before we spend 4 weeks in California.

Needless to say, between the Disney cruise, WDW and Disneyland, this will be a magical holiday indeed.

Sounds fantastic!
Please don't forget to update us how it is all going when you are over there or when you get back.
I have booked the Fantasy for Jan 2016 :goodvibes , would love to hear all about it.
Have a great time
