The Magic of an Ordinary Day

I'm recording it to watch later but I have seen it before. One of my all time favorite Hallmark movies.

Somehow or other I missed the part about what happened to the soldier the girls were trying to smuggle out.

I work at a Hallmark store and we have been running this in our dvd player all week, along with a few other Hallmark Hall Of Fame movies, and I really liked it. Who knew Skeet could be so cute? I watched and I really enjoyed it. In fact, I have enjoyed all the dvds we have been playing. I have to admit, I never watched them before.

Spoiler alert.......(just in case)

Keri Russel made the girls get out of the truck, and go back home. She took the soldier to her house, and had him change into some of her husbands clothes, made him some coffee, and sent him away in her truck. She then called the police and let them know where he was and said he stole the truck, and was a POW. She asked that they don't hurt him as he was unarmed. She then burned the uniform and the locket that she had worn through the movie. She did all this during the first stages of labor.;)

Now--can someone tell me about the importance of the locket. Did the baby's father give it to her? I thought it had something to do w/ her mother??

The locket had a picture of the baby's father in it. It was a really good movie. My DD16 and I watched it last night - loved it! Especially Franklin and the young Japanese Girl who was trying to smuggle her boyfriend out of the state.

What was in the letter she got from the baby's father? I couldn't make out what she was saying to her sister-in-law.

He wished her good luck in finding "the father" of the baby. He was positive that it couldn't be him.

The conversation with her sister-in-law, made her realize that she had a family there and starting a new part of her life. It made her open her eyes - especially after receiving the letter that her husband gave her from the x-boyfriend and him showing her that he was not happy. It was a very strange relationship to start out with but with circumstances, things changed once she realized that the father of the baby was never going to come back to her. I wanted to cry during their thanksgiving meal. Loved that scene.

When Keri said she had felt more love from her new family in 6 months, than in all of her life in her father's house, that made me cry. Makes me want the Hallmark channel! Good quality movies without annoying commericals. Sometimes the commercials even make me tear up.

Be sure to watch "Front of the Class" next Saturday night. It's a true story about a young man with Tourette's syndrome who got a job as a teacher after 24 tries. He just wanted to be the teacher he had never had in school.
