Here’s an opportunity for us girls to meet on our own for a few glasses of champagne and a chat. I know that this has been a very popular event in the past on many cruises so, come on girls, dust down your pink clothes, tiara and pink feather boa and get ready for a treat. The boys tried to gatecrash on the last WBTA, but were promptly removed

The format used on WBTA 2011 was very popular and an excellent afternoon so we are using the same format this year. A great time was had by all

Please note that there will be a charge to your room for this event, previously it was $20 (hoping it will still be the same this time, as there was a LOT of champagne for the price) and DCL provided glasses of a few different types of champagne, they classed it as a tasting event, but we asked DCL not to do any formalities or floor show, as it was an informal lighthearted gathering.

From memory DCL provided 5 different types of champagne to try and it was really lovely chatting and circulating and a waiter just appeared with a fresh tray of drinks, it was delightful being served and not having to get up and refill your own glass, especially when we were all looking so fabulous!

We are hoping that DCL will assign Sessions again, if you are not familiar, this is the piano bar on Deck 3 Forward in the adult bar area. It was an amazing venue because everyone had a seat and mingling was very easy moving from table to table.

If you are interested, you must PM me with your details, as it’s easy to miss a post on the main thread.

I will obtain full names and reservations numbers from everyone nearer the time, when DCL confirms the event. On embarkation/prior to the event, you will receive a ticket from DCL left in your stateroom (similar to an excursion ticket) and the price will be charged to your room bill. This event is strictly limited to 49 people and people will be added to the list on a first come, first served basis.

I'm afraid my tiara from last WBTA is looking a little sad, so guess I will have to drag myself to the mall, and make myself shop for another tiara! What a woman will do for a couple of glasses of champagne and a chance to mingle with ladies in pink boas and tiaras! *sigh* Looking forward to another good time ladies! So glad I made the list Mary!!!

I actually have to give Bank of America kudos; when we were in St Maarten, we bought jewelry for Sue and Becca, but the guy didn't initially charge me for Becca's necklace. He then realized his mistake, and then ran a second charge for $50, which went through OK.

10 minutes later, I attempted to charge something else, and was declined, apparently due to the rapid second charge from the same merchant. Fearing it would take a while to sort out, I paid with another card, then called BoA to sort it out. I was routed to an automated process which simply prompted for the last 4 digits of my social security, then asked me to validate the last 3 purchases, 30 seconds later, the card was unlocked.

Woo hoo I last had it with Panama Canal 2008 and I try find the photo.. later show it...

I really enjoyed myself and I was very nervous to went along on my own and it turn out good times.

I must go find boa, tiara and something new pink top, earring and bracklets all pink

I have not told my mother in law yet as I put her name down... I am sure she will enjoy it as she always have my champagne as I had high tea and champagne at my house two weeks ago for my birthday.

I look forward to that and meet new friends/old friends
