Hi All
We've been booked on this cruise since opening day 3.26.14. Seems like forever ago. I'll be travelling with DD18 and DM .
Just need to renew our passports in between all the cruising that we're doing.
I had to use airmiles to return back since the airfares were so ridiculously high (over $2000 oneway for a direct flight on Delta and Air France).
We will be staying at Old Key West. Love the fact that the villas have 2 real beds in the studio. Someone, will have to sleep on the couch or murphy bed for the following 15 nights.

I am flying my kids and aunt home on Norwegian and it is $300 direct to NYC May 31st. $2000 is nuts!!

That's a great rate!

I do not see shore excursions except for NYC on DCL's site, am I missing something?:confused3

Copenhagen shore excursions are up too. I guess they have 13 more days to get up the excursions for the rest of the ports :) It is hard to wait though.

I looked at Norwegian's airfare for May 30th, but that was going to cost at least $484 since they charge $59 to check luggage. Plus there is severe restrictions on luggage. 22lb for carry on and 44 lb for the checked item. The only fare available now is a 15 hour flight with connection to NY.

The airfare on May 31st is currently $270 plus $59 for luggage, but this doesn't leave until 7pm. An excellent fare, but then one has to take into consideration the extra money paid for hotel, food and transportation and the jet lag, especially if returning to work on Monday morning.

:welcome: LOL..Someone on my crew will also be sleeping on DCL's couch. Guess they'll just have to "suffer through it"...:rotfl: We booked through Icelandair for about $500 pp. for May 30th. :)

Since the beds on the Magic no longer split into two twin beds - my roommate and I will take turns sleeping on the sofa.

Just paid off our cruise!!!! Yeah!!!

Can't wait. Going to look at some of the excursions now but one in our group has family in Copenhagen so we may just let them be our guide for the day!!

Tom & I are going on a Wonder cruise tomorrow. Once we get home I will be asking for cabin numbers for this exchange!

I really miss those twin beds. But the new beds are so comfortable. I Wish we could have the option of the new beds in twin size too.

I keep dreaming that I was late for various reasons, (still packing, couldn't get a taxi, subway broke down etc) and the MAGIC SAILED AWAY WITHOUT ME.:scared1::sad1:
A recurrent nightmare since I booked this cruise. Maybe I shouldn't go wandering when we dock in New York City (my home):sad2:

I had that nightmare, but it was my mom that kept missing the ship in NYC. She goes to meet a friend and sits down for lunch and talks until the ship has sailed. The rest of us were all onboard though :thumbsup2

 We're PIF soon! And congrats on having a 'built in' guide! We're a little anxious with our crew on exactly what we're doing..Too many decisions! :)

Me too! Not sure of the dynamics with our family of 5 and sleeping right now...:goodvibes

That would be a nightmare! LOL But, I'm betting, since you're from there, YOU won't have a problem! It'll be us newbies that 'wander' wrong...:scared1:

Only 131 days folks!!!:yay::yay::yay:

We were away for a month and when we got home, dealing with the holidays and a major health issue for Bob. Ready now to get busy planning this cruise.

For those considering the Postcard/Recipe Exchange, here is some info: Participants leave recipes, written on a postcard from their home town, at the cabin of participants. It is inexpensive, isn't a luggage space and weight hog, takes limited effort, requires little technology expertise, and it's a great way to exchange a souvenir creating memories of our group's cruise. The idea is to add a regional recipe to the postcards, but this is supposed to be fun, not stressful, so there really aren't any rules. In past postcard/recipe exchanges I have received a variety of card combinations; all have been appreciated. Some things I have received have been:
A postcard only, some with, some without, messages
A postcard with a regional or family favorite recipe on the back
A postcard and a regional favorite treat: tea bag, penny candy, mini bottle of hot sauce
A postcard with a recipe clipped to it
A recipe card noting who sent it and from where but no postcard
Any combination would be great.

If you would like to participate, include your cabin number, name, DISboard name if you have one and home town Example: D203 7636, Valerie, Valbob89 San Francisco, California.
