Hey anyone else listen to Bob Schneider?

http://www.bobschneidermusic.com/

He is a pretty cool hip guy for an oldtimer like me to listen to. He has a cool website that streams his music. Take a listen.
Mai Tai say that you have great taste in music, m'dear. Have you heard of Damien Rice? Along the same lines, some great songs.

Mai Tai also say that, sorry MommyPoppins, I am (so far) the youngest one here. I'm 23. Star Wars? What's that? Those movies with Hayden Christiansen? And weren't platform shoes in style just a couple of years ago? :duck:

Also, one of my friends the other night was remarking on how she thought tall buildings look pretty at night, and I answered her by telling her I thought they were "creepy-dee". Too "American Psycho"for me.

Anyway, Mel, care to break down the various types of time-outs for me? My son is a bit too young for them yet, but I have coworkers to keep in line, too. There are some who would totally benefit from a hand-holding, skipping time-out.

And some DIS smilies that I've never seen used before::snooty: :upsidedow  :bored: :shamrock: :boat: :genie: :love1: <is that a threesome? :sail: :magnify:

Insomnia stinks

I wish I could just :faint:

Cause I am starting to feel :crazy2:

tomorrow is only 2 hours away now:eek:

And I am getting  too, sore throat and body hurts

Not sure what to say for this guy, but I feel a little upside down :upsidedow

I wish I could just :faint:

Latter today I bet I will,:faint:
and so I'll get nothing done, again

I wanna  but I have to :ssst:

Morning all. Got a busy day today. I have a Grandparents breakfast this morning for our Pre-school at 8:30. Then I am the mentor for a pastor beginning the ordination process and a meeting with him at 10:30. Got a funeral at 3, then a 2 1/2 hour Disciple Bible Study from 6 - 8:30.

Needless to say, I'll see y'all tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Blessings!
Marky Mark

Wowza!

While I was eating Double Stuf Oreos...ummm...I mean carrot sticks...for dinner and catching up with my other life (the one away from the Dis), you guys were busy!!

Javamom, when they're ready, I want in on the shirts. You are sooooooo talented. I'd hate you if you weren't so cool about sharing your talent!

I have another day of doing the Vulcan Mind Meld on 30 unsuspecting humans today...I'll no doubt come back to 30 pages of new Maelstromer chitchat this evening.

Can't wait!

MAELSTROM!!

Is a Fastpass?!

Morning everybody. Stayed up late working on the TR and I hope to have the next one up today. I'll letcha know.

Until then, I'm off to make some moolah. Yall don't have too much fun without me. Ya hear?

Maelstrom!

Morning all...and woof, woof, woof to Pongo. I'm heading out and I won't be back until the afternoon. But, check out the awesome T-shirt designs on pg. 51, post #757. They're GREAT!

Catch y'all later.

Mel.

Hi--I finally caught up. I've been lurking on the DIS for like 3 years now and never really needed to post b/c every question I have someone has answered. Then this year I found the TR, became addicted to ZZub first, then Happyhaunts (my ds8 may have a clone somewhere :) ), and vettechick, I think you're my long lost sister. So, followed you all to the CB, kinda scary over here. And now that I'm caught up I just gotta join. :Pinkbounc

Tink--So sorry, our Dexter had to be put down after 8 years. It was the worst day of my life I think. Last year after 7 years of mourning, we got Dixie. She is great.

Now I need to share for a moment. I need laughs today. I am a pediatric oncology nurse and I just checked one of my very special patient's web sites and this precious little 4 year old girl died earlier this morning in her parent's arms. As my own DD is just 6 this one really hits hard.

Hope you all have a good day. I've been "doing laundry" for like 3 days solid to catch up and now have to get ready to go to a meeting. I'll be lurking more later

RNLUVSDISNEY, I don't have anything funny for you. But I did want say this, anyone who can do the work that you do deserves a very special place in heaven with lots of happy healthy kids running around.

Welcome to the Maelstromers thread, RN! You picked the right thread for your 1st post. Thanks for your kind words about Dexter.

I'm so sorry to hear about that poor baby. I'll keep you and the family in my prayers today.

I need to crack the whip, now. I'll keep y'all posted on the house cleaning. When DH kissed me goodbye this morning, he said, "Have a good day, Drill Sargent!" LOL! I've already "supervised" the kitchen cleaning. Next is the bathroom. Should be LOADS of fun.

Maelstrom!

Hi RN. I lost a patient not long ago myself. A darling girl who was 5. My friend also lost her 13 year old daughter to lung cancer. Both were just devestating. I donated my long hair once to help for a wig for a child. You all do amazing work.

Hey folks, there is a Maelstrom thread started on another site! And I notice a few names here, that are over there. So this Maelstrom thing is a growin'!!

Good day ya'll.

Melonmom-heydiddledooskippysnoosnoosnoo! To you to la la de my lalala.

Horsey-girlie-googoolie googoo That was I that started that thread, I hope you guys come over and play there as well

Mel, I have some Gary info for you. He was interviewed on our local radio station this morning and of course I thought of you. I only caught the first few minutes of the interview, but I did get some interesting info.

First off he has a band that plays for the USO. Go ahead and guess what the name of the band is. OK, hold on to your pants, the name of the band is the Lieutenant Dan Band! Nope, I’m not making this up! Check it out for yourself: http://www.ltdanband.com/

Also, he’s not just good lookin’, he’s a good guy too. He started a charity called Operation Iraqi Children to provide school supplies and other needed items to the children in Iraq. Here’s the site for that: http://www.operationiraqichildren.org/.

spectrum-turbo, it’s another small world thing—my aunt and uncle live in Pfluggerville!

tink38, are you implying that we Baptists don’t have printers? LOL! J/K ;)

javamom, those t-shirts are waaaaay cool! Super job! I’m sorry that your DD is having trouble. I will say that I was held back in preschool, and it turned out to really be the best thing for me.

Good morning, all. I have to say between 5 pm last night and 8:30 this morning you all were busy! But I just have one thing to say...

Maelstrom...

Is a FASTPASS?!?

Howdy everyone, how's it going today?

RN, glad you've joined us, so sorry to hear about your patient. My DS is 4, that just breaks my heart.

Marky Mark is doing Da Rev thing all day today, as you saw in his post. I'm working this morning, housecleaning this afternoon. So, I'm working all day, too.

Can't spend much time on here this morning. No, really, I can't. I mean it. Stop laughing!! Honest, I'm going to start working RIGHT NOW!!

Elisabeth - NO! I hope I didn't offend you! That certainly was not my intention.

Rhonda - yeah, right! I REALLY need to get my butt over to the grocery and the Family Christian Store to look for the Bible Marky Mark told me about, but who am I kidding? I can't even muster the strength to fix myself something to eat!

Maelstrom, y'all!

No, not at all! I was just kidding with ya! :teeth:

IlluminationsUK - .........It's a fastpass?!

LaLa and 2infin.....I feel your gymnastic pain. But, mine is in the dance studio, not the gym. Delaney started tapping at 3 and she has added ballet, jazz and tap production to the mix over the last 6 years. We spend 2.5 hours at the dance studio on Friday nights. DH just loves the start of the weekend. She is so excited that with doing tap production this year, she gets to do all 3 nights of recital. They passed out the info on the Dance of America nationals competion and workshop and the first thing she pointed out was that it takes place at WDW!!! Wahooooo!!!! More $$$$ to spend.

And if the dance studio isn't enough for her, Grandma 3 years ago, put her into an afterschool pom-pom class that has now turned into a pom/dance competion group. They had their first competion 2 weeks ago and the girls took home first place for their division. Plus the one line judge awarded them outstanding pom/dance group of the show. Talk about 23 bounching off the walls 2 and 3 grade girls. They are so ready for the 22nd and the next competion.

Shelby - Can I take a crack at how you get to meet the rockers, please....Would it have anything to do with a female sibling and MAJIC 95......

OMG, took a couple of days off this weekend, and it took me THREE DAYS to get through all these wacky posts!! As usual, you guys are doing a great job entertaining me, and keeping me from getting any work done!

Few, very belated, comments:

Jennifer/Pongoperdi, your wedding gown is gorgeous...love the corseted back. I'm planning a Nov trip, but it's early in the month - 5th-12th. Catching the last of the F&W festival!

All you youngsters and skinny people are getting me depressed. I am 44 (!) and yes, have moved into double digit sizes myself in recent years. I have never seen a 6, 4, or 2! for ****'s sake! I am 5'9", though, so even when I was a 117 lb. high school and college kid, I wore an 8.

MommyPoppins, bless you!! I started at 30, and can barely handle the 2 I've got....and they're 14 and 11, so they're a lot easier! I can't imagine having 4 in four years...and planning to have more!!!! Although, my mother did it...(Oct 1961, 62, 63 and Apr 65..and she started at 20!)

Loving the Monty Python references...... :rotfl2:

Finally, I DO want one of those t-shirts! My family probably won't want to be seen with me...but I don't care!!

Got to go work out (yes...bikini season was over for me years ago, but a girl's still got to try!!), then try to catch up on the TR board! Boy, you guys know how to keep a girl busy!
