 Hello everyone and good afternoon or early evening (where ever you are).

I don't have a clue what I'm gonna do for supper tonight. DH is a work and won't be home until 2 a.m. and DD is in bed, probably for the rest of the night. So it will be just me.......hummmmm what to have, probably leftover porkchops and salad. I also have some corn on the cob left to cook off. All I know is that I will sit here at the computer and eat and chat with everyone.

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc: darn 40 sec rule :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

I dream of Le Celllier's. :cloud9:

Hey, I never told anyone, but we got both soup recipes from Coral Reef and Le Cellier last time we were there (Lobster and Canadian Cheddar Cheese). Dh tried both. First lobster soup he burned, and I tried to be brave, but really, I just can't eat scorch. But the second time he tried it was excellent. He changed how he did it from the way they had it on the recipe card. Definitely not healthy, you have to use heavy whipping cream! :rotfl:

The Le Cellier soup just didn't turn out right.

We have a family tradition of crackers, sausages, cheeses and soups on Christmas Eve.........so dh is going to make it this year!

The recipe I thought of as soon as I read your thread isn't really "healthy" but it is a good snack, it nutritious, and better than most others in it catagory. (don't want to give away my recipe here, have to make your way to the thread to find out :rotfl: )

So am I allowed to post it?
::yes:: Thanks for the contribution! :)

We have that tradition. We always have Oyster stew. Over the last few years I have found there are a lot of people who do that, the oyster stew thing. It's big out here in BFE well here in NE and IA don't know about anywhere else.

Karen, I swiped that fairy out of your sig. She's cute. I've seen her in other people's sigs too, so I"m being a copycat. I like her cause she is small and adorable.

What are friends for? :teeth:

I also LOVE that fairy! Adorable! :)

Well, I guess no other DISers have any healthy recipies. That's ok- Atleast I have a few. And I know they're good- They're from you guys!! LOL. I'm going print those out and try them one day next week. :) Thanks everyone!

I'll be back. Rumbling stomachs are calling me. Thanks for your posts on the threads Bonnie :teeth:
All other charity posts are welcome :rotfl:

I have the Le Cellier soup recipe too, but I have never made it. I LOVE that stuff though.

Karen, you'll be getting to eat it in person next week. How lucky are you!

Denise I know I have more. I can't think under pressure. I also (look ashamed) don't eat too healthy. I'm getting better though. I ususally take the old recipes and substitute lighter stuff like light mayo, dressing, etc. Just a twist on the old standbyes.

I have a tradition of having a Feliz Navidad meal on Christmas. I do NOT like turkey, having it once a year on Thanksgiving is enough (I don't eat it, but the family does). So I figured why not have a big mexican feast? Love it! :thumbsup2 We also go to the movies on Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day.

Off to a fish fry at our friend's house. I'll be back later tonight or tomorrow morning! Bye, all!

I'm not a picky eater, you put it in front of my I will eat it even if I don't like it (well except for the normal stuff...cat food, dog food....you get what i mean.) But I am so tired of turkey!!!! Who made that stupid rule??? (probably my mother) Why do we have to eat turkey on Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, and New years???? Why not beef, fish, pizza, past, pork??? Why always turkey???? Every year I ask my mother to cook something different, what do she say??? Oh but I already purchased a turkey, and I've already thawed it. :furious: NO MORE TURKEY!!!

sorry, I'll get off the soap box now. Thank you for your attention.

Yes, I totally agree, Jen!

How is your little girl doing today?

She's been better. I don't know if she is comming down with a cold (I hope not) or if her allergies are acting up again. A few months back the Doctor's new PA (I hate her) took DD off of her allergy med. DD then started to get sick, plugged up, ear infections, and broncitis. So supid PA put DD back onto a new and "better" allergy med (her words not mine).

Well after researching the side effets of said "better" med I found out there were several side effects that were most common among children but not listed. Three non listed side effect that affected my daughter: Stomach pains, tingles or numbness in the arms and legs, and excessive bleeding. DD has had 1-2 nose bleeds a week since the "better" med was given. The stupid PA said, "oh it's just the weather". When I complained about the stomach pains she said "Why don't you try and feed you daughter, then she wont be so hungry". When I told her about DD feet, hands, and arms hurting she said " oh it's just growing pains.

But I have taken her of said "better" med and set up an appointment with an allergy doctor. DD appointment is Wed morning but she has to be off ALL allergy med tomorrow. If she has a cold, I then have to reschedule so I hope her "cold" is actually a bad reaction to the outside world or just my dusty house. So I can get her on a med that will actually work for her.

Okay I'm done with my soap box
