And whereabouts are you in Virginny?

I live in Lakeridge, which is a masterplanned community in Woodbridge. It's weird, people can either put Lakeridge or Woodbridge on their address, and both are perfectly acceptable! People don't like to say we live in Woodbridge because it's not all that nice in some areas. Lakeridge is really nice, so people are sure to say they are from Lakeridge.

Anyway, we live pretty close to D.C. and I'm loving it here!

Dallas is the big city. Fort Worth is the country.........just with tall buildings..........

So you can go out to the opera and stop for cattle feed on the way home.

Just kidding, I live in the suburbs and no cows allowed by my HOA.

Denise! How ya doin'? Or shoudl I say, How YOU doin'?

I had to run errands and now I'm writing my daughter's talk for church tomorrow.

That's okay, you can enjoy my cow in my siggy.

We are actually kind of in "no man's land" between Fort Worth and a smaller town called Saginaw. It's in Ft. Worth city limits, but my ds goes to Eagle Mountain/Saginaw Independent School District, not Ft. Worth. Eagle Moutain is another even smaller community.

This was just a couple small towns and some farmland, and now subdivisions are popping up everywhere. HUGE demand for teachers now as their enrollment grows by leaps and bounds.

I may switch over from my school district when DS2 goes to Kindergarten.

We ran errands all day long! We got new furniture for our living room, but looking for a new recliner. We went today to about 3 different furniture stores, but they're just so darn expensive! We have a rocking chair in its place right now, so it's no biggie. It's just the sort of thing where if it's a good buy, on sale, we'd get it. Also looked at the pillow top King sized mattresses. OMG- $3,000! We can wait... LOL.

Hello Denise, Bonnie and I are hanging out listening to the crickets...........not much activity today..........

We looked at furniture today too. We want bookshelves.........impossible to find. I'd like a new sofa/loveseat as mine are about as old as my younger son and showing the wear and tear of two boys.

Hey, Paige! I can tell... Hmm... I guess most people are out doing things today. Whether it be running errands or outside at the pool. Wish it were me! LOL

:wave2: Paige and Denise.

We survived another storm. I let the dog out in the yard when we heard the rumbling and boom a strike. It was so close, I could feel the ground shake. Think I'd be used to it by now. :sad2:

I totally understand that! It's nice to have new furniture, though. Makes it feel like a "new house."

True, it's kinda slow, but now there's three of us. It's a party! party:

Hel-LOOOO, what about me?

We were hopeful to get some rain, but the few storms in the state are heading the opposite direction...........

Storms make me nervous, too, though. I've been through 3 tornados and I guess I think maybe 4 is too many to escape without harm!

Bought this 2 story house and each time there is a storm at night, I roust the kids out of their upstairs bedroom and bring them down.............

I had to hunt down a cricket the other night............doesn't take much to keep me awake..........

We had a very large lizard make it's way into the house last week. They are very noisy little buggers, too. Not to mention, slimy and scary. I hate creepy crawlies. :scared1:

Ew, how did you get it out? We used to get tiny baby geckos in the bathroom of our old house. We just picked them up and took them outside. I wanted to put the cricket out but it wouldn't cooperate, so I smashed it. I hate doing that.

Cicadas scare me.
