Rella, yes, my students are very jazzed for tomorrow!! I still don't know what we'll be doing. We'll just be winging it, I guess!

Minty--that sucks that your boss is being like that. Is she having a bad day? I hope your day improves.

Bonnie--have you tried claratin D? I NEVER really take meds, but I was desperate and took the 12 hour non-drowsy, never after 3 om, so it doesn't keep you up all night, and that really worked better than even the zithromax.

Just a thought..

thanks guys. Getting it off my chest really does help. No one here to vent to-no one understands. And I am not going to vent to them anyway because they know my boss.

My boss is being annoying too. She wait till today to tell us we need to have a game for tomorrow's festivities for all the kids to play (not just our class). We had no idea we were doing any type of combined activity until now. Guess I"ll be out shopping at the party store tonight!

My boss is being annoying too. She wait till today to tell us we need to have a game for tomorrow's festivities for all the kids to play (not just our class). We had no idea we were doing any type of combined activity until now. Guess I"ll be out shopping at the party store tonight!

Nothing like the last minute. I'm trying to think if my DS which was in Kindergarten last year played any games at his party.

I saw Shamu and it just reinforced my desire to be a trainer I didnt swim with dolphins but I did get to feed them! Last time I went they would snatch the fish and dart away so you couldnt really pet them. Now they have them trained to accept a couple of pats before getting the fish. Therefore we were able to pet them and it was my fav part of the whole weekend This was also the 1st time my grandmother had ever seen a dolphin and I convinced her to feed one. She did just throw the fish at him but she "fed a dolphin"

No I am done with school. I will have to leave the dolphin training for vacations. In FL in May we did a trainer for a day program and that was a lot of fun. We were in the dolphin show, did some hand movements for the dolphins, fed dolphins, river otters, and the alligators. So we will just keep doing that.

In theory I think it would be so cool. If it really ever came down to it I'd probably be scared.

I love to watch dolphins. They are so graceful. I caught teh dolphin show at Shedd a while back and that was really cool.

Idea time!! Bonnie... have you seen this site?? You can create custom Bingo and as many cards for the game as you need. It can be adjusted for any age group

And a fun game for a lot of kids is:

One is blindfolded in the center of the room. On your go the rest of the kids will go to one of the four corners. Then the blindfold guy spins around and picks one of the corners to be "out". Those kids sit down and you do the same again until there is just one child and they are "it" for the next round.
No money, the kids love it, and # of kids can play and it can take up as much or as little time as you like. We've done it with all ages... well up through 5th grade they have a blast and beg to play "just once more".
