I hear ya. DH got talked to at work today because he apparently fell asleep. I knew it was bound to happen. He can't stay awake at home for more than about 30 min. It is to the point where I am afraid for him to drive. No time really to go to the dr. But he will have to now.

Take care of you! Is there any way you could leave a little early one day?

Stephanie, he needs to be very careful. He could have sleep apnea. DH has it, and they have him using a C-PAP machine to sleep at night. It has really helped, he was doing the same thing, now he sleeps soundly all night, and has no episodes during the day.

That's very scary........yes, now he has to go.

Well, it's meetings and tutoring that are the problem.........I tutor 5th graders until 6:00 on Tues and Thurs..........dr. isn't there Wed. I would not tutor Thurs, but I have a meeting tomorrow so I have to miss it then, and I had a meeting today and heard from another teacher the director said I was taking his place while he came to the meeting today........I told him they had asked me, and I'd said yes, but then when they said he was coming to that meeting, I'd said uh-oh that's the same meeting I have to go to so I guess not. So between that andmissing tomorrow for another meeting, think they'd be pretty unhappy if I also took Thursday!!!!

Mary, that is my fear. I have told him and told him. He actually fell asleep standing up 2 summers ago, and fell and broke his ankle. He wouldn't go to the doctor no matter how much I nagged. About the sleeping....he finally went about his ankle the next day, and was in a cast for 2 months. Now that he has been embarassed at work, he is willing to go. Men!

Mary, that is my fear. I have told him and told him. He actually fell asleep standing up 2 summers ago, and fell and broke his ankle. He wouldn't go to the doctor no matter how much I nagged. About the sleeping....he finally went about his ankle the next day, and was in a cast for 2 months. Now that he has been embarassed at work, he is willing to go. Men!

As terrible as it sounds, whatever it takes, as long as he gets it fixed. I think if they find out that he has apnea, and they give him a machine to sleep, it will make a huge difference for him. It did with DH. Now he won't and can't sleep without it. We have a generator for him, so if we lose power he can sleep.
