Well, I live in Williamsburg, VA with DH, and 2 DDs. I am a contract substitute teacher and teach all elementary grades at my DD's school.

My bro used to live in WOODBRIDGE. He is Military and was working for years at the Pentagon. Is that near Williamsburg?? I bet you are as busy as a substitute just like a full-time teacher!

A little about me.....
I live in Texas with DH and 2 cats. My DH and I both volunteer at Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network. I will soon start also volunteering at Habitat for Horses. I work clerical field but am taking some time off due to medical issues which is why I have so much free time. Thats me in a nutshell

WELL, I am a 2nd grade teacher, have 2 great sons, ages 11 and 4, am married to a fabulous man..........he works in computer component sales and really wants a new job.......he's got an autoimmune disease which gives us fits, but he is (finally!) in remission at present, so I am thrilled.

We go to Disney as often as we can...............

I am presently under a bit of strain as my mother and oldest son were in a car accident about a month ago. While my son is fine, my mother broke her right ankle and left hip. She is finally home from the hospital but seems to be very depressed and I worry about her.......(only mention because I'm sure you'll see people reference her on here from time to time).

The DIS and especially this thread are great tension relievers for me!

Disney I will fly to...no biggie...2 hours by air...

But London is SIX hours over and SEVEN coming back....

We were planning on going to Japan for Spring Break..........my cousin is a naval officer there.........18 HOURS!!!!

Had to scrap it for finances.................

No, actually, Woodbridge is near Washington DC, and I am closer to Virginia Beach. And yes I do work almost full time. It started out as my little part-time job (as one of my friends calls it) and now I work at least 3 days a week, many times more.

Nope, I'd rather celebrate the big ones. For our 1 yr anniversary we are going on our cruise. Because of the way the dates work out we depart on our anni. We did a small cruise on our honeymoon so this one is a 7 night one

Sorry Guys....about the delay in response...one son just called from the Red Sox game screaming about Ortiz hitting some 50th homerun.

Then my Scotland son called it is 4am over there and there was a fire in the dorm next to them and everyone has been evacuated.

These days I only hear from my mom when I call her and with her crazy work schedule I always miss her. I feel like I'm trying to track down Santa during Christmas time!!

DH & I own an Engineering and Land Surveying business in MA. We have 6 employees. We have a home/office that we just built and moved in. We have two sons DS#1 (24yo) getting his Masters in European History and DS#2 (20yo) getting a double major Art History/Political Science. They both attend the same college: Providence College in Rhode Island. In my siggy, You can see DS #2 Mike in ATHENS where in spent the summer and DS#1 Chris with DGF Diana in Disney in March.

O Paige thank GOD everyone is okay after that accident. Your mom still struggling. Is she going for Physical Therapy?

PC's Art History Dept received a GRANT and they asked Mike to go to the Island of Crete and dig for pottery. He spent 8 weeks over there and LOVED IT ALL.

So actually, my Mike left me June 15th and I will not see him until December 23rd. I get really sad but he calls me ALLLLLOT.

DH went over August 15th and traveled with Mike from Athens to Italy, Austria, Prague, Germany, Finland, and then moved him into U of G!!! Thank GOD for DH because I would have never flown to Greece....

She has a PT, Home Health Aide and Nurse come to her house. She is not allowed to put weight on either leg at all................I just took some time off and was up there last weekend and early this week cleaning house and cooking and freezing for the. Dad is trying to run the business alone (he had a stroke about 20 years ago and is disabled, too) and my 90 year old blind diabetic Grandmother is there trying to help. It's a real mess and has me a bit of a basket case. They live 250 miles away from me..........

Tonight, I am trying to keep my mind off it, last night I needed to talk, tonight I need to shut up...............hope you understand...........
