I took out a roast from the freezer this morning that I was suppose to put in the fridge. I was going to have that for dinner tomorrow. Well when I got home from school I see that I forgot it in the sink. So I decided to just cook that tonight with some rice and gravy. I'll just cook it early and everone can eat in shifts tonight.

There ya go! Good idea. I, on the other hand, forgot to take my roast from the freezer. So we'll not be having that tonight. Maybe it will be a soup & grilled cheese night for us.

How does your son like 1st grade?

He likes it. He is the type of child that lives to please the teacher. The jury is still out on the teacher though. Some days I think she is really nice others not so much. I know everyone has good and bad days. :confused3 I volunteer once a week in the class and so far so good. I've just heard lots of stories about her. I'm choosing to not listen to the others and reserve judgement for myself.

Good idea.

Was your son in half day kindergarten or full day? Is First grade a big change for him?

He was full day. He also went to full day preschool at the Catholic School all my kids were at BK (before Katrina).

Oh, so it wasn't a huge transition for him. That's good. All my girls did half-day Kindergarten.

We don't even have 1/2 day Kindergarten around here. Both Catholic Schools and Public are full day programs.

In NV it was all half-day until a couple years ago. Then some schools added one class that was full-day, but you had to pay a tuition fee. Here most schools have full-day, but there are still a few that are half-day. Ainslee's school will start full-day K next year.

My tummy is really hurting, so I'm gonna go lie down. :guilty: Hopefully I'll talk to you later. :wave2:

Hi, Sarah! How are you doing this lovely afternoon?

We had such nice, cool fall-ish weather today!

It made everyone in a good mood! :woohoo:

Sorry I missed you!!! i was looking at other threads!!

Sorry!! BYE!

Hi guys.............spaghetti for dinner here.........I did think about soup and grilled cheese, though, but there was no tomato soup, just mushroom and dh doesn't like it.

We have to make a store run, those guys ate everything in the house while I was gone.

My little boy at school I was most worried about was all smiles today. Twice he tried to tackle others, he doesn't do it to be mean, he thinks it's fun.........guess he just couldn't keep his happiness in.........made me feel better to see him happy to see me. All were good, I'm catching up on grading, all grades must be in for report cards by Monday. They are all doing well. :goodvibes

I didn't feel like talking about mom today, and one teacher was offended that I didn't want to talk about it and said I was rude..........all I said was, "I'd rather not talk about it, please." Another completely ignored me and kept asking questions, and I answered some and others just said I didn't want to talk about it while teaching.........eventually one of my other friends jumped in and told her that I really didn't want to talk. :confused3

Some people just don't get it do they? I'm glad your other friend stepped in. She gets a big :grouphug:

MIL's birthday (52) would have been Friday, so me, DH and SIL are going to her favorite restaurant for dinner and then are going to do a few of her other favorite things. We called FIL, but he has plans. I'm a little worried about him.
